Mercedes Carrera Pretrial Postponed Again 5 Years After Arrest

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — The criminal trial of Mercedes Carrera and her husband on multiple child sexual abuse charges was postponed again on Jan. 16, with a pretrial hearing now set after the fifth anniversary of their arrest.

According to court documents, the hearing is now scheduled for Feb. 16, with April 16 as the earliest possible date for a trial.

Carrera and her husband, Jason Whitney, were arrested after a police raid of their Rancho Cucamonga home on Feb. 1, 2019. They have been in the county jail awaiting trial for just short of five years, held initially without bail and later, after they had liquidated their assets and had no source of income due to their incarceration, with bail set at $2 million for each.

The first pretrial hearing for the case took place in July 2022, with an Oct. 3, 2022 date agreed upon for the beginning of the jury trial. Since then, however, the trial date has been repeatedly vacated and postponed for over a year.

In the course of four recent hearings, Judge Katrina West reset the pretrial date to Sept. 29, then to Oct. 3, Oct. 13, Nov. 6, Nov. 17 and lastly to Jan. 16.

In November, XBIZ was informed that a new attorney, Robert Little, was representing Carrera.

Little told XBIZ that he is acting as a conflict board attorney, a private-practice lawyer appointed by the state in place of a public defender. Little did not comment on any other aspects of the case.

One of Carrera’s friends, identifying himself only as “Louie Bee,” also contacted XBIZ to share their podcast, titled “Behind the Walls With Mercedes Carrera.” The podcast features phone interviews with Carrera from the county jail, where she discusses her case, world events and the situation of inmates in the San Bernardino County correctional system.

Her supporters also launched a “Free Mercedes Carrera” website, which includes documents presented to demonstrate alleged police misconduct during her arrest.

The website also includes a section titled “Faith,” about Carrera’s jailhouse embrace of Christianity. A handwritten letter purporting to be from Carerra states, “I truly repent of my time in the adult industry and any negative input it has had on the world, and strive to find a new life in Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom we may be redeemed.”

From Jail, Carrera Rejects ‘Postmodernism,’ Adult Industry

The latest episode of the podcast features a 20-minute jailhouse phone call from Carrera on Jan. 19 where she criticizes the work of her lawyers, requests a change of courtrooms, offers her views about international politics and the legal system, and urges listeners to find God and reject what she calls “postmodernism.”

“I’ve had five years to assess my life, and realized I’m extremely, extremely penitent about my time in the adult industry,” Carrera says during the podcast episode. “I’m extremely penitent about my former ideology, because I see how that kind of liberal ideology, the adult industry, all of it is ruining America. All of it. So I believe at this point that God has put me in here to make things right with him. I believe God has greater plans for me, by taking me out of the adult industry, and so I’m grateful for that.”

Canada: Toronto pro-Houthi protesters display Ontario public workers’ union flags

“Jewish members speak out after OPSEU flag used in anti-Israel protests,” by Bryan Passifiume, National Post, January 22, 2024:

Some members of Ontario’s public workers’ union are calling on leaders to distance the union from recent anti-Israel demonstrations where the union’s flags were prominently on display, but they say their concerns are so far being ignored.

Last week, several Jewish and non-Jewish members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) wrote to president JP Hornick. The members urged Hornick to explain OPSEU’s participation at a Toronto anti-Israel protest on Jan. 14. Video of the event showed marchers chanting in support of the Iranian-backed Houthis, a terrorist group whose motto is “curse the Jews.” The also asked Hornick to clarify the union’s support for Jewish members.

A video posted to X, formerly Twitter, by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) depicted two marchers waving OPSEU flags during last Sunday’s demonstration.

“For any union flag to be flown at such a rally, celebrating actions that directly threaten the physical well-being of workers, is directly in contrast to our most central ideals and objectives as unionists,” the letter reads.

After sending the letter on Jan. 15, the members say they have received no response. OPSEU officials did not respond to questions from National Post….

Arab Islamic Racism: Ethnic killings in one Sudan city left up to 15,000 dead

Between 10,000 and 15,000 people were killed in one city in Sudan’s West Darfur region last year in ethnic violence by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied Arab militia, according to a United Nations report seen by Reuters on Friday.

In the report to the UN Security Council, independent UN sanctions monitors attributed the toll in El Geneina to intelligence sources and contrasted it with the UN estimate that about 12,000 people have been killed across Sudan since war erupted on April 15, 2023, between the Sudanese army and the RSF.

The monitors also described as “credible” accusations that the United Arab Emirates had provided military support to the RSF “several times per week” via Amdjarass in northern Chad. A top Sudanese general accused the UAE in November of backing the RSF war effort.

In a letter to the monitors, the UAE said 122 flights had delivered humanitarian aid to Amdjarass to help Sudanese fleeing the war. On Saturday, a UAE official told Reuters that it extended an invitation to the UN monitors to visit a field hospital in Amdjarass “to learn firsthand about the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the UAE to help alleviate the suffering caused by the current conflict”.

The United Nations says about 500,000 people have fled Sudan into eastern Chad, several hundred kilometres south of Amdjarass.

Between April and June last year El Geneina experienced “intense violence,” the monitors wrote, accusing the RSF and allies of targeting the ethnic African Masalit tribe in attacks that “may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

The RSF has previously denied the accusations and said any of its soldiers found to be involved would face justice. The RSF did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Reuters.

“The attacks were planned, coordinated, and executed by RSF and their allied Arab militias,” the sanctions monitors wrote in their annual report to the 15-member Security Council.

“Shot to the head”

Reuters last year chronicled the ethnically targeted violence committed in West Darfur. In hundreds of interviews with Reuters, survivors described horrific scenes of bloodletting in El Geneina and on the 30-kilometer (18 mile) route from the city to the border with Chad as people fled.

The monitors’ report included similar accounts. They said that between 14-17 June, some 12,000 people fled El Geneina on foot for Adre in Chad. The Masalit were the majority in El Geneina until the attacks forced their mass exodus.

“When reaching RSF checkpoints women and men were separated, harassed, searched, robbed, and physically assaulted. RSF and allied militias indiscriminately shot hundreds of people in the legs to prevent them from fleeing,” the monitors said.

“Young men were particularly targeted and interrogated about their ethnicity. If identified as Masalit, many were summarily executed with a shot to the head. Women were physically and sexually assaulted. Indiscriminate shootings also injured and killed women and children,” according to the report.

Everyone who spoke to the monitors mentioned “many dead bodies along the road, including those of women, children and young men.” The monitors also reported “widespread” conflict-related sexual violence committed by RSF and allied militia.

New firepower

The monitors said the RSF takeover of most of Darfur relied on three lines of support – Arab allied communities, dynamic and complex financial networks, and new military supply lines running through Chad, Libya, and South Sudan.

The UN missions for Chad, Libya, and South Sudan did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Complex financial networks established by RSF before and during the war enabled it to acquire weapons, pay salaries, fund media campaigns, lobby, and buy the support of other political and armed groups,” wrote the monitors, adding that the RSF used proceeds from its pre-war gold business to create a network of as many as 50 companies in several industries.

Since the war started “most of the gold which was previously exported to UAE, was now smuggled to Egypt,” the monitors said.

The new firepower acquired by the RSF “had a massive impact on the balance of forces, both in Darfur and other regions of Sudan,” the report found.

The RSF has recently made military gains, taking control of Wad Madani, one of Sudan’s major cities, and consolidating its grip on the western region of Darfur.

In December the United States formally determined that warring parties in Sudan committed war crimes and that the RSF and allied militias had also committed crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing.

The war has left nearly half of Sudan’s 49 million people needing aid, while more than 7.5 million people have fled their homes – making Sudan the biggest displacement crisis globally – and hunger is rising.

The sanctions monitors told the UN Security Council that “an excess of mediation tracks, the entrenched positions of the warring parties, and competing regional interests meant that these peace efforts had yet to stop the war, bring political settlement, or address the humanitarian crisis.”

Jews ‘will most definitely be killed,’ Wisconsin Terrorist imam declares days after Oct. 7

“By Allah, all of them will be killed by Muslims. They all will be executed by Muslims,” Terrorist proponent Alhagie Jallow said in a sermon days after Oct. 7.

(January 18, 2024 / JNS)

Only jihad can bring victory, Alhagie Jallow, imam at the Madinah Community Center in Madison, Wis., preached on Oct. 13, less than a week after Hamas terrorists attacked southern Israel en masse.

Jallow, originally from Mbollet, Gambia, studied in Diourbel, Senegal, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has worked at the center, a nonprofit entity, since 2009.

According to a translation of Jallow’s sermon that the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) released earlier this month, the imam said: “Oh Jews, you unjust, criminal, corrupt oppressors—stop! You will all most definitely be killed. The Jews, the aggressors, the evil. … You describe them, what they do.”

“It’s only jihad that can bring victory. Not contracts, not agreements, not alliances—not all of these things,” he said.

The imam also called for genocide against Jews.

“By Allah, all of them will be killed by Muslims. They all will be executed by Muslims. They will all be killed. This is a divine promise that will inevitably be fulfilled,” he said. “This is a promise from Allah, and it is going to happen. They will all be killed. They will all be killed, and on that day, the believers will rejoice in Allah’s victory.”

The Only School Shootings Corporate Media Don’t Hype Are By Gender-Fluid Murderers

Only five days have passed since a 17-year-old shot up his school in Perry, Iowa, killing one and injuring five. Yet anyone looking for updates about the tragedy would be hard-pressed to find it on the front pages of any corporate outlet, unusual given the media’s typical amplification of such tragedies.

The press is known for lengthy coverage glamorizing killers, inspiring copycat acts, and using shootings to push gun control. When covering tragedies that contradict leftist claims, however, Democrats and their cronies in the corrupt media quickly go radio silent.

The Perry shooting is one such case. Once the Iowa killer was identified as a teen who flirted with Democrat gender ideology, headlines and TV segments about his shooting spree slowed to a trickle. The fact that the shooter used a shotgun and small-caliber pistol instead of the ever-popular Democrat boogiemanthe AR-15, also likely played a role in the story’s disappearance.

Those media that did bother to keep coverage of the issue going, like NBC, sought to shift blame from the shooter to sexual sanity advocates such as Libs of TikTok Founder Chaya Raichik. She dares to report on the growing trend of violent transgender shooters, including details linking the Iowa school shooter to gender-fluid identity politics.

Terror TV Station Established in Canada, Supported by U.S. and European Radicals

A television station established by a global coalition of terror activists is operating and fundraising in Canada, assisted by a global coalition of radical activists and violent extremists from designated terrorist organizations.

Established in the wake of the October 7th attacks, Free Palestine TV (FPTV) offers a steady diet of Hamas and Hezbollah propaganda. Its broadcasts are consistently extreme, and its social media channels comprise video clips of terrorist acts and propaganda messaging provided directly by terror groups, as well as posts glorifying the killing of Israelis.

FPTV was established by terror-activists, and serves to promote designated terror groups’ interests. As FPTV’s director stated in November, “We built live broadcasting units to go from the front in South Lebanon, with North Palestine, and bring in journalists from inside Palestine to give us updates.” FPTV was set up, he explains, “to translate the speeches of all the resistance leadership, and as they happen, all their videos of their operations that they’re releasing on a daily basis, and to air it on the internet.”

The director in question is Laith Marouf, a Canadian radical activist widely accused in mainstream media of overt extremism. Marouf is not the sole reason for the channel, however. FPTV was founded, as noted by Iranian regime “journalist” Marwa Osman, “by good people in Beirut.”

The “good people” with whom Marouf works and who explicitly claim credit for establishing FPTV are in fact members of Al-Tajammu, a Lebanese group with members across the world, better known in English as the Global Gathering to Support the Choice of Resistance.

On October 27th, Al-Tajammu organized an online meeting of its “coordinators” in Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Australia, during which the establishment of FPTV was announced.

Al-Tajammu’s secretary-general, Yahya Ghaddar, prefaced the launch news by marveling at the October 7th slaughter in Israel, stating: “God Almighty has granted the Qassam Brigades a tremendous victory.” Ghaddar credited Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah with predicting this “great war,” which spreads all over the Middle East, from the Mediterranean to Iran. Ghaddar further praised Iranian-aligned “Mujahideen” for “doing well by targeting American bases in Syria and Iraq.” With the assistance of Al-Tajammu’s support for the “resistance,” the “cancerous entity” of Israel will be “eliminated” and America “defeated.”

Al-Tajammu reports that Ghaddar and Al-Tajammu’s Middle Eastern and African “coordinators” were full of delight over the “dream” and wonder of the Al-Aqsa Flood, and expressed enthusiasm for FPTV and support for Marouf, the station’s newly appointed director.

Al-Tajammu’s Western “coordinators” echoed these thoughts.

Paul Larudee, the “coordinator of the North American branch,” was present at the meeting, along with various “peace activists” from the American far-Left. Larudee declared he would support the resistance through “words and money. … We support broadcasting efforts from the Lebanese-Palestinian border with all the resources we can. We are confident that the Palestinian resistance, its advisors and supporters know what they are doing and are prepared for its consequences, and we wish them success.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Larudee is already known to be an overt supporter of the designated terrorist organization Hamas, and has met with the terror group’s leaders. He runs his own nonprofit in the United States, the Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees, which funds a variety of pro-Iran initiatives and backs the Assad regime.

Former member of terrorist org. included in South African delegation to ICJ

Shawan Jabarin, the general director of Al-Haq, a Palestinian “human rights” organization, was observed as part of the South African delegation at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) last week. Jabarin, a former senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – designated as a terrorist organization by Israel and around 30 Western countries – has a contentious history.

Jabarin’s past includes convictions for his involvement with the PFLP and multiple prison sentences. The Israeli Supreme Court, in a 2007 ruling, described him as playing dual roles in both a non-governmental organization and a terrorist group. The Israeli Supreme Court described Jabarin as “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” in light of these dual roles, such as reportedly recruiting PFLP members into Al-Haq, a Palestinian NGO known for promoting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Terrorist Authority’s “pay-for-slay” payments to rise by $1.3 million per month

  • PA announces: 3,550 new terrorist prisoners since Oct. 7
  • 661 Hamas terrorist prisoners from Gaza
  • 23,210 new “Martyrs”
  • PA: “Palestine’s Martyrs… are the stars who do not disappear from our skiesThey perfume our land with their deep-red and fragrant blood, and they are more honored than us all.”

3,550 additional prisoners

The PA has announced that since Hamas launched its war on Oct. 7, an additional 3,550 terrorists have been recognized as prisoners of Israel, making a total of 8,800 prisoners. The overwhelming majority of those included in this number have been captured during Israel’s activities against terror in the PA-controlled areas, while 661 are Hamas terrorists from Gaza:

“The prisoners’ affairs institutions:
“The total number of prisoners in the occupation’s (i.e., Israel’s) prisons at the end of December 2023 reached 8,800. Of them, more than 80 female prisoners are in Damon Prison alone… The number of those [prisoners] whom the occupation classifies as ‘illegal fighters’ (i.e., Hamas terrorists from Gaza) is 661.

This means that the number of all the prisoners increased by 3,550 prisoners since Oct. 7 (i.e., Hamas’ invasion). The number of administrative [detainees] increased by 1,971.”

[PA-funded Prisoners’ Club, Telegram channel, Jan. 3, 2024]

Before Oct. 7, the PA had been rewarding 5,250 prisoners and nearly 8,000 released terrorist prisoners with approximately $13.4 million (50 million shekels) in monthly salaries as rewards for terror. The nearly 67% rise in the number of prisoners will initially cost the PA an additional $1,331,000 per month (4,970,000 shekels), adding $16 million to last year’s expenditure of $161 million (600,000,000 shekels) on terror salaries.

The additional $1,331,000 per month are only the initial costs. According to PA law, as PMW already exposed in 2011, each of the new terrorist prisoners will receive a starting salary of 1,400 shekels per month ($375 per month), which will rise the longer he or she is in prison, reaching a maximum of 12,000 shekels per month ($3,215 per month).

The logos of four prisoners’ organizations appear with the announcement: The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, the PLO Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners, ADDAMEER, and SILWANIC

23,210 additional “Martyrs”

In addition, the official PA daily announced this morning that there are 23,210 additional “Martyrs.” [Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 10, 2024]

This follows the official announcement by the PLO “Families of the Martyrs and Wounded Institution” three days ago that it recognized an additional 22,000 “Martyrs” in Gaza – which makes their families eligible to receive monthly stipends as well. The PA through the PLO pays the families of so-called “Martyrs,” including all terrorists who were killed attacking Israelis, an immediate one-time 6,000-shekel grant and then 1,400 shekels per month for life. After previous Israeli wars against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip, it took several years for the PA to process the thousands of “Martyrs,” but eventually their families received money from the PA.

While most of the names and other information about the “Martyrs” from Gaza are certainly unknown at this stage, the PA was quick to announce that it will make sure to guarantee their families a “dignified life… [and] will continue its efforts to provide the services that it gives these families”:

“Chairwoman of the [PLO] Families of the Martyrs and Wounded Institution Intisar Al-Wazir said that this year [Palestinian] Martyrs’ Day is taking place at a time when acts of genocide and massacres by the occupation’s forces against our people in the Gaza Strip are continuing (i.e., 2023 Gaza war)… the result of which was more than 22,000 Martyrs…

She emphasized that the leadership led by [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas is committed to taking care of the families of our Martyrs and wounded and makes sure to guarantee a dignified life for them. She also emphasized that the Families of the Martyrs and Wounded Institution… will continue its efforts to provide the services that it gives these families, which have sacrificed that which is most precious to them for the homeland.”

Iran linked to German synagogue attack by court

Germany’s Foreign Ministry has summoned an Iranian envoy in protest at an attempted arson attack on a synagogue last year which a court linked to Iran.

Iran’s involvement was revealed by the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court.

This revelation emerged during the trial of a 36-year-old German-Iranian and former Hell’s Angel for the Molotov cocktail arson attack on a school in Bochum.

The man, named as Babak J., from Dortmund, was convicted of conspiracy, attempted arson, and causing minor school damage.

But the court also found that he actually intended to target the synagogue, on the instructions of the Iranian state.

In a statement posted on X/Twitter, the German Foreign Office said: “According to the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court, the planned attack on a synagogue in November 2022 in Bochum was carried out by an Iranian state agency.

“We have therefore summoned the Iranian charge d’affaires to the Foreign Office.

“The fact that Jewish life should be attacked here is intolerable. We will not tolerate any foreign-controlled violence in Germany.”

Police recently carried out raids on 50 addresses thought to be linked to Islamic extremists, including the Blue Mosque in Hamburg, a noted city landmark since the 1960s. It has been accused of serving as a platform for extremist preachers and fostering an environment conducive to radicalisation.

Iranian dissident and opposition activist Kazem Moussavi told the JC that Germany has had many years to act on Iranian support for antisemitic violence in the country.

Germany’s political obsession with forging an appeasement policy with Iran means it has left the authorities paralysed, he said.

Germany has repeatedly refused to act on how Iran has been supporting both Hezbollah and Hamas in Germany, he claimed. Instead, the highest-ranking German officials have fostered a cosy relationship with leading Iranian figures.

“I’ve spent 30 years in Germany investigating and exposing the leading Iranian figures operating here, and passing the information to the authorities,” Moussavi said. et very often almost nothing was done for years.

“Iran has been supporting Hezbollah and Hamas in Germany, and German authorities know this but, they have just tried for year to camouflage all the information because it is just completely obsessed with its approach of appeasement with Iran for trade reasons.

“But the price of this is that it sends out the message to Iran that it can use Germany like its playground to support antisemitism and cultivate radical Islam and this is exactly what it has done.”

“So the recent German clampdown on these Islamic organisations, like the Blue Mosque in Hamburg – the Islamic Centre of Hamburg – well, ok, but I have been speaking out about this organisation for years, as have Jewish organisations because of their antisemitism and cultivating of radical Islam.”

“But instead of doing anything about it, you would then even find German government officials, and even German presidents then visiting these places and even posing for photos with the very same figures, including even at the Blue Mosque.

“So even though I was of course happy that Germany had this nationwide series of raids at these organisations, it was a bit ridiculous that it then claimed it was doing this to examine whether anything odd was going on there. They have known for many years what has been going on there because of people like me.

“Finally we are seeing some action on this now, and there have just been some arresting of Hamas members in Germany. Yet it is only now that we are starting to hear about a ‘possible’ Iranian link here.”

“But this is ridiculous. The Iranian embassy is totally involved here and has been for years. What it does is it provides support to these terrorists and these antisemites, then wants to get these terrorists out of Germany quickly.

“I monitor the demonstration regularly, even though there is a direct threat to my life as Iran has taken me to court repeatedly here in Germany, and via the courts the Iranian regime has been able to get my address.

“So right now you have more and more of these dangerous rabidly antisemitic Islamic figures coming from many countries, including from the UK and the US. They are moving in radically pro-Palestinian and left-wing political circles and they are extremely dangerous.”
