Dearborn Public Schools Spark Protest by Adopting All Halal Meat Policy

The Dearborn Public Schools website states it matter-of-factly: “Dearborn Public Schools ensures all meats served in our schools are certified Halal.”  Now one courageous mother is fighting back, challenging Dearborn public school officials to explain why they have done this and to provide options for students who object to halal food.

The mother wrote to Dearborn schools superintendent Glenn Maleyko, noting, “Schools have never changed lunches to fit any other religious needs.  If one needed a special diet due to religion or health, they did what all other students do, bring a lunch from home.”

Maleyko responded: “The decision was based on operational considerations only, not religion.  By implementing an all Halal meat option we have increased the number of students that we are serving[.] … It would cost a lot more to provide both Halal and non-Halal meat.”

In the long run, the superintendent will find it far, far costlier to have capitulated to Islamic supremacism and set this precedent.

Dearborn’s actions here should be a matter of concern for all free people.  This is a manifestation of the Left’s absolute march, without consideration or question, toward exclusionary, supremacist practices that any genuinely pluralistic society should reject.  Dearborn Public Schools officials are demonstrating a totalitarian assuredness in the delusional comfort of enlightenment, diversity, and inclusion.  They’re in for an unpleasant surprise: they’re accommodating a radically non-diverse, non-inclusive

Dearborn’s policy is discriminatory against non-Muslim students of numerous perspectives, some having to do with different faith traditions.  There may be any number of reasons why people don’t want halal meat.  They may object to halal slaughter for humanitarian reasons or because they are concerned for animal rights.  Evangelical Christians may consider it meat sacrificed to idols, as discussed in the New Testament.  Jews are obliged to keep kosher, not eat halal food.  Still others may object to the fact that many halal certification organizations have links to jihad terror groups.

In light of all this, Dearborn should rescind its halal-only policy so as to make its schools truly inclusive and diverse, accepting of all students, not just Muslim students.

But that is unlikely to happen.  This initiative is already very far advanced.  If you’re in Europe, and in many areas in America as well, the meat you are eating is probably halal, unless you’re keeping kosher.  In a little-known strike against freedom, yet again, we are being forced into consuming meat slaughtered by means of a barbaric, torturous and inhuman method: Islamic slaughter.

Where were the PETA clowns and the ridiculous celebs who pose naked on giant billboards for PETA and “animal rights”?  They would rather see people die of cancer or AIDS than see animals used in drug testing, but torturous and painful Islamic slaughter is OK.

Many people have written to me saying they simply won’t eat halal meat, as they object to the methods used to slaughter the animal.  And I agree.  The sharia term for halal slaughter is dhakat.  Dhakat is to slaughter an animal by cutting the trachea, the esophagus, and the jugular vein, letting the blood drain out while saying, “Bismillah allahu akbar” — in the name of Allah the greater.

Seventy percent of New Zealand lamb imported into the United Kingdom is halal.  It is not labeled as such, so people are eating halal without even knowing it.  But people there are fighting back: when halal food was imposed on public schools in the United Kingdom in 2007, parents were in an uproar.  And in March 2010, Stop Islamization of Europe (SIOE), the sister organization to my group SIOA, called for the cessation of mandatory consumption of halal meat on the continent.

In the United States, a great deal of meat sold in this country is already halal but is not labeled is such.  It’s a scandal, but an established practice: meatpackers generally do not separate halal meat from non-halal meat and not do not label halal meat as such.  We attempted to right that wrong.  But the U.S. Department of Agriculture has for four years now ignored, shelved, or just plain refused to rule on our petition.

As many Americans do not, for a variety of reasons, wish to eat halal meat, back in February 2012, my organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), filed a citizen petition with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, asking that a regulation be enacted to ensure that all halal food be clearly labeled as halal.  In April 2012, we agreed not to publicize our petition in order to give the agency some space to review the document without any pressure from the public.

On May 11, 2012, we had a face-to-face meeting in the USDA offices with top FSIS officials.  We discussed this petition and the need for halal meat to be clearly labeled.  Present at this meeting was Dan Engeljohn, a longtime USDA official who is now assistant administrator for the Office of Policy and Program Development (OPPD) in the FSIS.  This position made him responsible for FSIS regulations.

Engeljohn and company had years to rule on our petition.  They never did a thing.  They just let it die on the table and stonewalled our repeated requests for an explanation.

As far back as October 2010, I reported on little noted but explosive revelations that much of the meat in Europe and the United States was being processed as halal without the knowledge of the non-Muslim consumers who bought it.

Then, in November 2011, I penned an article that caused a firestorm across the political spectrum, revealing that Butterball turkeys were all halal but were not labeled as such. Heads exploded on the Left — not over Butterball’s deception, but over my having the audacity to reveal it.  The clueless and compromised on the right were enraged as well: John Podhoretz tweeted, “I’d tell Pamela Geller to put a sock in it, but the sock might be halal.”

I was, of course, excoriated as a racist Islamophobic anti-Muslim bigot.  In reality, however, we have no objection to halal meat being sold, as long as it is clearly labeled as such, and as long as non-halal meat is available.

And now, all these years later, halal meat is being imposed on non-Muslims.  The Dearborn mother responded to Maleyko’s bland rejection of her concerns but at press time had not heard back from the superintendent.  Will he respond?  Will he take her concerns seriously?  And even more importantly, is this diversity?  Is this inclusion?  This is Islamic supremacism and totalitarianism.

Drag Queen Simulates Cutting Baby Out of Her Womb, Drinking Blood

Video out of New York shows a drag queen simulating cutting a baby out of her womb, drinking blood and pulling its head off as onlookers in a bar cheer.

The clip shows Blair Back during a performance of a drag show at an unnamed bar in New York.

Back uses a knife to hack open a pouch in her clothing meant to resemble a womb before dragging fake blood and guts out of it and drinking some of the blood

She then removes a plastic baby before pouring some of the blood into a glass and drinking it.

Back then pulls the plastic baby’s head off before licking its face.

The music playing in the background during the entire ‘performance’ is ‘Cannibal’ by Ke$ha.

Some witnesses looked shocked but many could be heard cheering in the background.

After the video went viral on Facebook and prompted a backlash, Back tried to defend herself by asserting, “No babies were harmed in this video. The baby is made of PLASTIC!!! I’m wearing a pregnant belly costume I got online!!! The blood is fake!!! And the organs r fake as well!!!!!”

However, most respondents were unimpressed, commenting that the spectacle was “sick” and “disgusting” while another said Back was “totally demon possessed.”

A WOMAN pleaded guilty yesterday to a charge of cruelty to a one-year-old child whose body was burnt with cigarette butts.

Jillian Noel, 49, of Pepper Village, Fyzabad, will know her fate on November 25 when Justice Kathy Ann Waterman-Latchoo will pass sentence. The child, born in 2006, suffered such physical abuse that he had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

Noel stood in the dock on Tuesday in the San Fernando High Court while state attorney Kateisha Ambrose told Waterman-Latchoo about the boy’s physical abuse. His leg was broken, she said, and he was a picture of sadness– not jolly like children his age are supposed to be.

When he was four months old, the boy lived at Ferndean’s Place Children’s Home in Point Fortin. On September 15, 2007, Noel took him to live with her.

But in May 2008, someone noticed that the boy was limping, dragging his feet and had a burn on his index finger. Ambrose told the judge that when Noel was told about it, she said the boy was playing by the stove with his brother and he broke a leg.

Three months later, Ambrose said, a female worker from the home visited and saw scars on the boy’s body. There were bruises on the arms, legs, back, face and mouth.

Not long after, a friend took the boy to a fun day activity, Ambrose continued, but noticed that he was withdrawn and sad. The police were called in and PC Karl Taylor of the Community Police Unit at the Penal station, took the boy back to the home.

In July, WPCs Worrel and Skeete took the boy to Dr Nicholas Benny Okwee in La Romaine. Ambrose read the doctor’s findings to the court.

“There were scratches and scars on the angle of the mouth. The right arm was swollen around the elbow joint. There was also swelling and blue discolouration of the right hand and it was very painful.” The doctor found there were other injuries to the child’s private parts.

Noel was charged with the offence of cruelty to a child.

Attorney Martin Joseph made a plea in mitigation for her. The judge released Noel on continuing bail to return for sentencing.

Under the Children’s Act, the offence carries a penalty of two years in jail and a fine of $10,000.

Police arrest pro-LGBT high school teacher for soliciting sex with underage student

OMERSET, New Jersey, October 28, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — A pro-LGBT high school social studies teacher, who helped run his school’s Gay Straight Alliance and had advocated for introducing students to cartoon pornography in class, was arrested and charged in New Jersey this month for sending a student “sexually-explicit” images of himself.

Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced on Facebook that Sean DiGiovanna, 50, was arrested October 10 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child as well as a count promoting obscene material to a child under 18. He was jailed pending a detention hearing.

According to the statement, DiGiovanna, a teacher at Watchung Hills Regional High School, sent sexually-explicit images of himself to an underage student. The victim also reported that DiGiovanna sent him text messages soliciting a sexual relationship. Forensic examination of DiGiovanna’s phone revealed the sexually-explicit images and text conversations reported by the victim.

 

DiGiovanna helped run the Gay Straight Alliance on the high school campus. He received a salary in excess of $86,000.

DiGiovanna has been an advocate for LGBTQ causes for a number of years. A June 2018 YouTube video shows DiGiovanna addressing the local school board and advocating for the use of “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic” in high school classes.

Author Alison Bechdel, according to the Family Policy Alliance of Colorado, said of her 2018 novelized graphic memoir, “(I)t’s all about the power of images … I can understand why people wouldn’t want their children to accidentally think this was a funny comic book and pick it up and see pictures of people having sex … drawings are very seductive and attention catching.”

Celebrated in LGBTQ circles, the 2006 book recounts in 240 pages Bechdel’s Catholic childhood and adolescence, including bouts of lesbian sex and masturbation. Suicide, dysfunctional family life, sexual orientation, and emotional abuse are among the themes in the book. Bechdel’s father was a teacher and part-time funeral undertaker who had homosexual relationships while in the military and afterward with high school students. Soon after his wife requested a divorce, the elder Bechdel was killed when he stepped into the path of a delivery truck in 1980. The book has been translated into French and German and has been transformed into a stage play.

In the video of the school board meeting, DiGiovanna identifies himself as gay and an LGBTQ activist for 10 years. Referring to “Fun Home,” DiGiovanna claimed that his students found that the book was a “very positive thing for them to read, a very affirming thing for them to read.” He dismissed parents’ fears that the book could be harmful to students under 18.

“I appreciate that people are maybe for diversity but not for this book. I do hear a lot of people saying things like ‘pushing an agenda.’ I want the board to know that I know and my students know what that really means. The only agenda that we should be pushing is what’s best for our students. What’s best for our students is to understand is the fullness of what people have to go through and what all our students have to go through, including LGBT students,” DiGiovanni said at the time to the applause of the board.

At the board meeting last year, two parents spoke out about the graphic novel, citing their objections to some of the images in it. Parents sought to have the book replaced with another. TAPinto quoted a social media post by a concerned parent:

“I am all for inclusion and diversity. I have not read the book. The pictures in the book I have seen from the other forum are XXX-rated level. That is not acceptable for children under 18 not to mention there are siblings much younger at home who can be exposed to these images involuntarily. This should be a book for selective reading for whom are open to it but not for a book in the curriculum that every 12th grade student must read in the English class curriculum.  Aren’t there other age appropriate great books that can promote the same value?”

 

Another wrote: “Those students that are interested can read this on their own time. It is not about banning books — it is about not teaching porn in school! If this book stays on the list, will we be adding Playboy and Hustler (or whatever is the current day version of these) to the reading list as well?”

School superintendent Elizabeth Jewett dismissed parents’ concerns, saying, “We chose Fun Home to advance our goals for thoughtful, contextualized literary reading and to expand the LGBTQ voices in our curriculum.”

The concerns raised recently by some people have been leveled at the novel’s images of sexual intimacy. “We acknowledge that a few such images appear in the novel, but we do not feel their presence in any way diminishes the literary quality of the work,” she said. “Thumbing through the novel and pointing to an image or two misses the context in which these images are presented.”

Scraggle Daggle Summer Walker does not believe in taking showers

R&B singer Summer Walker is making news again today – after telling fans that she doesn’t believe in taking showers.

Even before making the controversial statements, Summer was seen as being “hygienically challenged” by fans. In fact, some even went so far as called the pretty singer “dirty looking.”

Well Summer’s most recent comments are likely to feed into the “dirty” rumors.

According to Summer, she prefers to wash herself using a “washing bowl” instead of taking a bath or a shower.

What’s a washing bowl, you ask? Well a person puts soap and water in the bowl, and then uses the soapy bowl water to wash herself – sometimes using baby wipes to clean up.

 

Obviously that’s not a very efficient way to clean oneself. But Summer doesn’t seem to mind.
