Some female Muslim students at Syracuse University say they can’t swim (or learn to swim) because the school won’t grant them exclusive hours when only they can be in the pool.
Or, more specifically, when no men can be present.
“Covering, or maintaining modest dress for religious reasons, is at best uncomfortable and at worst impossible for Muslim women who choose to cover their bodies when they’re using Barnes Center facilities, such as the pool,” The Daily Orange reports.
Syracuse grad student Sajiah Naqib told the student paper that when she lived in Malaysia (where almost two-thirds of the population is Muslim) there were separate pools for men and women.
“Usually I’d have to fix my scarf while I’m in the pool, but if you’re in an environment where it’s just girls, you don’t really care and you can swim,” Naqib said. “You’re more comfortable.”
BALTIMORE (LifeSiteNews) – The first openly “transgender” officer in the U.S. Army turned out to be a Russian spy, according to a federal grand jury indictment against Army Medical Corps Maj. Jamie Lee Henry and his wife, Johns Hopkins University anesthesiologist Anna Gabrielian.
The Washington Free Beaconreported that Henry, who won media praise and sympathy for formally changing his name and “gender identity” to female while on active duty in 2015, have been charged with conspiracy and wrongful disclosure of individually identifiable health information for allegedly giving medical information on Fort Bragg military personnel to an undercover FBI agent they thought was a Russian diplomat.
Henry, a doctor at Fort Bragg, is accused of giving the agent information on five patients at the base. He allegedly told the agent he had unsuccessfully offered to join the Russian military in the wake of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, and that he believes “the United States is using Ukrainians as a proxy for their own hatred toward Russia.”
Gabrielian, meanwhile, allegedly gave the agent information on a spouse of an Office of Naval Intelligence employee and “highlighted” a medical issue “Russia could exploit,” all because “she was motivated by patriotism toward Russia to provide any assistance she could to Russia, even if it meant being fired or going to jail.”
Both allegedly also requested that their children be given a “nice flight to Turkey to go on vacation because I don’t want to end in jail here with my kids being hostages over my head.”
In a recent op-ed, the Washington Post outlines how Tesla’s battery issues and fires may not just be due to poor design and manufacturing but a side effect of electric vehicles relying on lithium-ion batteries.
The Washington Postreports in an op-ed titled “Tesla’s Big Batteries Aren’t the Fire Problem. Lithium Is,” that Americans should be questionubg whether lithium-ion powerpacks should be used for applications such as electric vehicles. The piece argues that the science of lithium-ion batteries make them inherently dangerous.
The Washington Post writes:
The large-scale use comes with significant risks, although most modern power systems choose this formulation because it boasts higher energy density, as well as greater charging and discharging efficiency. However, lithium-ion batteries have a volatile, flammable electrolyte. So, while there are safeguards to avoid fires, all the combustible ingredients are still there. Flames can accelerate through chain reactions, known as thermal runaway.
Big batteries are made up of several cells packed together. Current is constantly flowing inside, which generates heat. If there are no barriers between the components, a failure in one part quickly cascades through. While elaborate (and critical) equipment for cooling the system is put in place, it draws on the energy of the actual powerpack and reduces its output. In addition, when charged, a coat of lithium metal can form on the surface and dendrites, or needle-like structures can grow, and lead to short-circuits.
There are other considerations, too. For instance, in its review of battery failures in 2019 and 2012, the Arizona State Commission pointed to reports of “fires with 10 feet to 15 feet flame lengths that grew into 50 feet to 75 feet flame lengths appearing to be fed by flammable liquids coming from the cabinets.” After one incident, it took nearly three months to discharge the stranded energy.
Fires have been a major issue for Tesla vehicles in recent years. Breitbart News recently reported that another Tesla caused major issues after catching fire with firefighters in Stamford, Connecticut, struggling to put out the blaze. Breitbart News has reported that fire departments have begun recognizing that electric vehicle fires pose a significant danger and need further training to handle them appropriately
The Burnsville, Minnesota public school district where “school spirit hijabs” are being offered to elementary students has produced multiple Islamic terrorists, including an ISIS member who was killed in combat in the Middle East. Located just 15 miles south of downtown Minneapolis, suburban Burnsville has absorbed thousands of Somali Islamic migrants, who now exert their religious influence over the local public school district.
As National File recently reported, William Byrne Elementary School in Burnsville, Minnesota is offering “school spirit hijabs” to its young students, under the guise of the school’s “Somali cultural liaison” and in conjunction with its parent-teacher organization. The Sharia-compliant head garb for kids is available in the school’s online “spirit store” and is going on sale at various school events for $6. They come in two colors and feature the school’s bulldog mascot.
Notably, the hijabs are $4 cheaper than any other spirit item.
National File attempted to make contact with William Byrne Elementary School’s principal, Jon Bonneville, but received no response. National File had hoped to learn whether the school would begin offering “school spirit crucifixes” or “school spirit yarmulkes” to students not adhering to the Christian and Jewish faiths and asked principal Bonneville if the hijab sales meant the school was endorsing Sharia law.
After learning of the school spirit hijab program, National File took a deeper look into Burnsville’s local school system, which is officially known as Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191, and found deeply disturbing ties to Islamic terrorism.
Burnsville appears to be part of a larger web of terror issues fanning out from Minneapolis, where the import of record levels of Islamic migrants culminated in the 2018 election of far-left Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, herself a migrant of Somali origin who has dismissed the 9/11 attacks as being no big deal.
A 2013 article in Minnesota’s left-wing Star Tribune newspaper celebrated Burnsville’s rapid transformation from an All-American town to an “immigrant suburb” with a “huge Somali population.”
“Burnsville is among the top-10 destinations” for Somali migrants in Minnesota, The Star Tribune reported.
Two years after that report, Minnesota Public Radio News published a lengthy profile on a trio of Muslim Burnsville teenagers who set out to join ISIS. All of them are of Somali migrant backgrounds and all of them attended Burnsville High School.
According to the MPR report and DOJ press releases, on March 9, 2014, 18-year-old former Burnsville High School student Hanad Mohallim boarded a flight from Minnesota to Turkey, where he set out to join ISIS at the Syrian border, and was successful.
Alarmingly, after making his way to the ISIS terror organization, Mohallim was able to keep in touch with his family in the United States and informed them that he was “serving” as a “border guard” on behalf of ISIS. Some months later, his family reported that he’d been killed in combat.
JUBA, South Sudan — A court in Sudan dismissed apostasy charges against four Christians who were threatened with the death penalty unless they recanted, sources said.
Judge Ibrahim Hamza dismissed the apostasy charges against the Christians in Central Darfur state, stating in the Sept. 8 ruling that apostasy is no longer a crime in Sudan, their attorney said.
Initially arrested on June 24 in Zalingei, Central Darfur, the four converts from Islam had been subjected to degrading treatment while questioned, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW). They were released that day but re-arrested on June 28.
“On July 3 the men were brought before the prosecutor, who told them they would face the death penalty if they did not renounce their Christian faith and agree not to pray, share their faith or participate in any activities that would identify them as Christians,” CSW stated. “The men refused and were charged with apostasy.”
Bader el Dean Haroon Abdel Jabaar, his brother Mohammad Haroon Abdel Jabaar, Tariq Adam Abdalla and Morthada Ismail were arrested from their church in Zalingei and held until their release on bail in early July, according to local sources.
They were arrested on apostasy charges under Article 126 of Sudan’s 1991 criminal code, which was nullified in 2020. In July 2020 the transitional government that took effect in September 2019 decriminalized apostasy, which had been punishable by death. Sudan’s 2020 Fundamental Rights and Freedoms Act prohibits the labeling of any group as “infidels” (takfir), according to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).
The church the four Christians had formed was authorized by Sudan’s Ministry of Guidance and Religious Endowments during the transitional period, but it has closed due to threats and attacks by area Muslim extremists, according to CSW. Three other churches have closed in Zalingei this year due to an increase in threats and violence, the group reported.
Since the military coup of Oct. 25, 2021, officials have threatened church leaders living in camps for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), telling them they would be charged with apostasy if they continued to meet for prayer, CSW reported.
“When the leaders protested, citing the legal changes made under the transitional administration, they were informed that the coup had changed the legal situation,” CSW stated.
The 2020 Act also repealed other Islamic-based articles of the 1991 criminal code, including public flogging as a punishment and prohibitions against drinking alcohol. Although Sudan has taken some steps to reform laws that violate religious rights, most current statutes are still based on Islamic law, Christian leaders say.
Business owners on Martha’s Vineyard have spent years begging for more mass immigration to the United States in the hopes of filling summer jobs with foreign workers.
When 50 illegal aliens were flown onto the elite coastal island, home to the nation’s wealthiest and most well-connected, officials declared a “humanitarian crisis” and Gov. Charlie Baker (R) swiftly deported the new arrivals to a military base on Cape Cod.
The reaction to just 0.001 percent of the nation’s border crisis arriving on the doorsteps of Martha’s Vineyard residents comes after business owners spent years pleading with the federal government to import more foreign workers so they could fill jobs.
“At some point in time, they have to move from here to somewhere else. We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants,” an official said when the illegal aliens arrived. “We certainly don’t have housing. We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island, so we can’t house everyone here that lives here and works here. We don’t have housing for 50 more people.”
The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) has released a finalized version of their updated Standards of Care guidelines (SOC8). Among the recommendations include reducing the age at which children can receive “puberty-blocking” drugs and cross-sex hormones to 9 years old. Age restrictions on surgical interventions have also been relaxed.
In a change from previous protocols, no specific minimum age is recommended as a cut-off point.
WPATH had previously issued specific guidance on age. Hormone treatments were recommended from 14 years old and up, cosmetic mastectomies at 15+, breast augmentation and “facial feminization surgeries” at 16+, and 17+ for surgeries of the reproductive system, like hysterectomies. They had also recommended an age of 18+ for phalloplasties, the surgical creation of a non-functioning penis.
But on September 15th, WPATH abruptly issued a correction removing those specific age guidelines, despite growing criticism and concern over the medicalization of gender non-conforming children.
Largely ignored is the fact the new criteria reflect the stated desires of a castration fetish forum, the members of which were found have been working intimately with WPATH in a Reduxx investigation published earlier this year. The site also hosts child sexual abuse fantasies that involved halting children’s development for pedophilic interests.
For decades, the group has lobbied the American Psychiatric Association for changes to diagnostic terminology. Surveys conducted within the forum on castration fetishism have been published by WPATH in an academic journal and presented at official conferences.
The SOC8 guidelines were created in partnership with academics who have been leading figures in the castration fetish forum for over twenty years. In particular, members of the forum contributed views towards a new section in the guidelines on the concept of eunuchs as a gender identity.
The Eunuch Archive, the forum which is directly named as a resource in WPATH’s newly-released SOC8, is home to nearly 10,000 fictional pornography stories of an extreme sadomasochistic nature.
As previously reported by Reduxx, many of these stories feature a theme of the rape, castration, torture, and killing of children.
“Like other gender diverse individuals, eunuch individuals may be aware of their identity in childhood or adolescence,” states the final version of the SOC8. “Due to the lack of research into the treatment of children who may identify as eunuchs, we refrain from making specific suggestions.”
In some of the stories, children with stunted puberty are raped by doctors. In others, children are castrated by force as part of a sadistic sexual torture ritual. Other themes include Nazi doctors experimenting on children by castrating and sexually abusing them. There are also erotic stories which describe young boys being given “feminizing” hormones, only to be sex trafficked during adolescence.
In May, Reduxx learned that three of the forum’s top members were academics who had been collaborating with WPATH on the most recent SOC8 guidelines. One of the site’s top administrators is Dr. Thomas W. Johnson, a Professor Emeritus at California State University in Chico. Johnson has been a leading member of the Eunuch Archive since 2001.
The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the international association which sets guidelines for the medical ‘transitioning’ of children, has been collaborating with participants of a fetish forum that hosts and produces fictional child pornography and extreme sadomasochistic content.
On December 3, 2021, WPATH released draft guidelines which included, for the first time, the category of ‘eunuch’ as a protected “gender identity.” WPATH’s updated 8th edition of their Standards of Care (SOC), which recommends medical treatment and services for those with a self-declared ‘gender identity,’ describes the relationship between “eunuch-identified people and other transgender people.”
The document states, “Eunuch-identified people may share with other gender-diverse people a desire for reduction or elimination of masculine physical features, masculine genitals, or genital functioning.”
It also goes on to claim that “eunuch-identified people may suffer the same minority stress as other stigmatized groups,” and refers extensively to research collected from a hardcore fetish site called the Eunuch Archives — a site that features child sexual exploitation fantasies centered around stopping little boys from going through puberty.
The Eunuch Archive began in the late 1990s in collaboration with Body Modification Ezine (BME) and was initially hosted on the same site. BME achieved some notoriety in the early 2000’s for a viral video titled “Pain Olympics” which featured men mutilating their genitals on camera.
Prior to the official launch of the Archive itself, members would congregate on a Usenet forum by the same name, which advertised itself in a newsgroup dedicated to sadomasochism: alt.sex.bondage, a discussion group credited with coining the acronym BDSM in 1991.
In the newsgroup alt.eunuchs.questions, members shared castration fantasies, offered services, traded castration photos and videos, sought to connect with young men to “feminize,” asked for advice on chemical castration, and recommended doctors willing to perform surgeries without psychiatric evaluations.
An FAQ document published at the beginning of the site’s development recommended several other torture and bondage pornography forums for users to share images and request “cutters.”
Notably, Usenet forums were the target of the FBI’s first investigations into internet-based pedophile rings, as it provided a space for organizing and exchanging of child sexual abuse materials, including written pornography.
Once the Archive was established, many of the notable members moved over to it.
There’s nothing more entertaining than watching liberal heads explode like popcorn kernels in the microwave, so any time something happens that will produce such an effect, you can bet your sweet mama’s bottom I’m going to be there to write about it.
A transgender pedophile was caught in a pedophile sting conducted in Colorado last week by predator hunters after the man had attempted to meet a 13-year-old girl for the purposes of “teaching” her about sex.
News of the sting first premiered on September 13 on a YouTube account belonging to independent child safeguarding group Colorado Ped Patrol (CPP). The 29-minute video shows CPP head Thomas Fellows confronting a man at a McDonald’s in Weld County, Colorado, on September 7, along with his team.
The alleged pedophile is named by CPP as Ronald “Roni” Jensen, 61, who arrived at the sting location wearing a light blue dress, an auburn wig, sunglasses, and block-heeled sandals. Jensen had been under the impression he would be meeting with a 13-year-old girl, but had in fact been speaking with an adult decoy associated with CPP.
Jensen was met by the CPP team at the eatery’s doorway, with Fellows immediately asking him why he was there and who he was attempting to meet. The team filmed the exchange on body cameras and phones and gave the man the option to have the conversation outdoors to avoid making a disturbance inside, which Jensen agrees to after seeing Fellows had a dossier of evidence on him.
Another hapless loser blaming women for the emptiness of his own life.
In the bowels of the women-hating incel culture, inspired by Toronto mass killer Alek Minassian and angry at the unfairness of the world, the friendless 17-year-old high school dropout plotted his own murderous attack.
He bought a 17-inch sword on Amazon and inscribed it “Thot slayer” — slang for slut. He took along a handwritten note — “Long Live The Incel Rebellion” — because he wanted the world to know that “people like us exist, and it’s not really fair.”
He donned dark glasses and a long dark coat like that worn by the Columbine massacre shooters, attached the sword to his belt and walked 1.6 kilometres to the Crown Spa, an erotic massage parlour at 3598 Dufferin St.
Why did he choose to attack the women there? “I just thought they, they weren’t very clean people,” he told police.
Democrats and far-left activists are freaking out after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) flew two planes filled with illegal aliens, mostly men from Venezuela, to Martha’s Vineyard — the small, elite East Coast vacation spot where former President Obama owns an $11.75 million home.
On Wednesday evening, DeSantis announced that he had sent two planes full of Venezuelan illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard. The move comes as Texas and Arizona have sent thousands of border crossers on migrant buses to Washington, DC, New York City, and Chicago over the last few months.
For the Republican governors, the goal of the migrant bus and illegal alien flight operations is to expose “sanctuary city” hypocrisy where Democrats approve policies shielding illegal aliens from arrest and deportation while also pushing the burden of illegal immigration onto more vulnerable states like Arizona, Florida, and Texas.
In response, Democrats and far-left activists are condemning DeSantis’s flights of illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) claimed the flights are equivalent to human trafficking, while a local elected official called the flights “evil and inhumane.”
The arrest of a Democratic public official in Las Vegas for allegedly murdering a journalist shocked the nation, but news networks went out of their way to bury his party affiliation. Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the death of Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German, who was fatally stabbed in front of his home on [Sept. 3]. German’s reporting had exposed scandals that plagued Telles, including a hostile work environment and an extramarital affair with a staffer, which was followed by his re-election defeat during a Democratic primary held in June. . . . While the liberal networks covered German’s horrific murder, they strangely omitted to tell viewers that Telles is a Democrat during Wednesday and Thursday’s coverage. While the liberal networks covered German’s horrific murder, they strangely omitted to tell viewers that Telles is a Democrat during Wednesday and Thursday’s coverage. ABC’s “Good Morning America” introduced Telles as a “local politician” and later described him as a “Las Vegas county official.” “CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil teased about the “elected official” who was swept up in the murder investigation. CBS News correspondent Mark Strassmann went on to describe Clark County’s public administrator as “a man named Robert Telles” and said police executed a search warrant “at the elected official’s home.” . . . Similarly, NBC News correspondent Erin McLaughlin referred to Telles as simply a “local government official” who “lost a primary race in June” during an on-air report on “Today.” . . . On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Willie Geist reported on the “public official” and how police “arrested a man named Robert Telles.”
Try to imagine what the media would be saying if a Republican had murdered a journalist. Do you think the national media would blandly describe him as just a “local official” without any mention of his party affiliation? As bad as this is, however, it got even worse when the local sheriff — Joe Lombardo, a Republican who is running for governor of Nevada — held a press conference to discuss the arrest of Telles:
A Democrat politician in Nevada is accused of fatally stabbing an investigative journalist last week over a series of stories on official misconduct that likely sank the incumbent-turned-defendant’s summer bid for re-election. The local press, however, found a way to pin the blame on former President Donald Trump. . . . “Sheriff, you said the murder of a journalist is especially troubling. Now is probably not the time to talk politics,” the unnamed female reporter began. “So why are we talking politics?” Lombardo interrupted. The reporter continued with her political question. “Do you condemn former President Trump’s normalization of violence against journalists?” she asked. “No, I think this [is] probably inappropriate to speculate on that or opine on that,” Lombardo said. “It needs to be stated and noted that it is troublesome because it is a journalist… When people take it upon themselves to create harm associated with that profession, I think it’s very important that we put all eyes on and address the case appropriately.”
By the way, the “unnamed female reporter” has been identified as Dana Gentry, who works for Nevada Current, a website that is part of States Newsroom, funded by a “liberal dark-money group.” (Hint, hint.)
The California governor plans to ‘Achieve 100 Percent Zero-Emission’ by 2035.
‘California is now telling people to avoid using large appliances and charging electric vehicles from 4-9 pm. This from the same state that’s going to force everyone to buy electric cars by 2035,’ the CA House Minority Whip tweeted.
In a Sept. 6 tweet, Diablo Valley College (DVC) announced that all in-person classes were canceled for the day after the San Francisco Bay Area experienced power outages due to a recent heat wave.
DVC’s Director of Marketing Brandy Howard told Campus Reform, “Diablo Valley College…experienced an unanticipated power outage during a period of excessive heat with temperatures above 110 degrees. Without power, we were unable to cool our buildings. For the health and safety of our community, we canceled in-person evening classes and sent employees home.”
Howard continued, “Our top priority is always the safety of our students and employees, and that guides any response to such situations.”
California has been experiencing a heat wave with record temperatures leading Governor Gavin Newsom to declare a state of emergency on Aug. 31.
The announcement forecasted an “energy deficiency.”
“On August 30, 2022, the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) issued a Heat Bulletin forecasting high electric demand during the Extreme Heat Event that will stress the energy grid,” the announcement read.
Since the announcement, thousands of Californians have been without power, and wildfires destroyed over 10,000 acres.
The governor’s declaration came mere days after he announced that the state plans to “Achieve 100 Percent Zero-Emission” by 2035.
“We can solve this climate crisis if we focus on the big, bold steps necessary to cut pollution. California now has a groundbreaking, world-leading plan to achieve 100 percent zero-emission vehicle sales by 2035,” Newson stated.
However, the plan has been heavily criticized, especially after the recent heatwave and the California Grid Operator asking electric vehicle owners to limit charging their vehicles to save the power grid from shutting down.
Israel publicized its final investigative findings on the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate death of Al Jazeera “journalist” Shireen Abu Akleh. Before addressing her death however, I would be remiss if I failed to include the caveat that Al Jazeera is not a legitimate news outlet. It is a propaganda outlet funded by the Qatari government and serving its interests. It often spews antisemitic conspiracy theories and Holocaust denial. Its staff members celebrated the birthday of Samir Kuntar, who murdered a three-year-old Jewish girl by bashing her skull with a rifle buttstock. It is only in that context that one can fully appreciate the ideological bent of Al Jazeera and its staff and why its reporters are suspect.
The Israel Defense Force investigation concluded that there was a higher probability that Abu Akleh was killed by IDF fire than by fire from Jenin militants. However, a definitive conclusion as to who was ultimately responsible is impossible given the mangled state of the bullet that struck Abu Akleh and the persistent Palestinian refusal to cooperate with the Israeli investigation.
The findings also make clear that even if the bullet came from an IDF rifle, Abu Akleh’s death was unintentional. The IDF was operating in a complex urban environment and came under fire from various terrorist gangs who often shield themselves behind the cover of civilian infrastructure., which is a war crime.
Israel’s detractors, whose criticism often veers into overt Jew hatred, pounced on the report’s findings, claiming that Israel obfuscated and still refuses to accept responsibility. But these base criticisms overlook several central facts that are crucial to the understanding of the underlying matter.
First, the report is consistent with Israel’s persistent claims that the only way to definitively determine who killed Abu Akleh is by ballistic testing to match the bullet against every weapon carried by the soldiers who were on operational activity in that area on that specific day. However, this is impossible to determine because as noted, the bullet was too mangled for proper ballistic testing.
Second, even if the fatal bullet came from an IDF rifle, the findings make clear that it was unintentional. Abu Akleh was working in a heated war zone where Jenin’s undisciplined militants were firing blindly and wildly from different directions. As the IDF report notes, it was a complex urban environment and Abu Akleh’s death, while tragic, can in no way be blamed on the actions of the IDF.
Third, the investigative report demonstrates once again that Israel is a shining beacon of democracy in a sea of medieval backwardness, perfectly capable of conducting a fair and impartial inquiry into its own actions, even if those actions demonstrate a level of fallibility and culpability. In contrast, Israel’s enemies are incapable of uttering a scintilla of truth. Their truth is one laced with a mixture of banal propaganda, antisemitism and Islamic fundamentalism.
Fourth, the IDF was operating in Jenin on the day that Abu Akleh was killed in response to a series of deadly Arab terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 17 Israeli citizens (Jews and Arabs) and two Ukrainian citizens. The planning for most of those attacks were hatched in Jenin and carried out by terrorists from Jenin. During the Oslo War (also referred to as the Second Intifada) Jenin was dryly dubbed the suicide capital of the West Bank. The lack of Palestinian Authority control over militant gangs has resulted in the mass proliferation of automatic weapons and ammunition. Often times, the gangs are joined by PA “policemen,” or otherwise act with the PA’s knowledge and consent due to fear, apathy or concurrence.
Faced with this indifference or collaboration, the IDF acted vigorously to counter the terror threat. According to the IDF’s military chief Aviv Kohavi, IDF operations since May have netted 1,500 terror suspects and thwarted hundreds of terror attacks. But Israel’s detractors say that the Jewish State has no right to defend itself and protect its citizens – both Arabs and Jews – from Palestinian terror attacks.
Finally, the level hypocrisy coming from Israel’s haters is breathtaking, even by their already low standards. On September 4, an Israeli Arab journalist, named Nadal Ijbaria, was gunned down in the Israeli Arab city of Umn al-Fahm. Ijbaria had been aggressively covering violent crime among Israeli Arabs and this did not sit well with some Arab criminal elements. His life was threatened and last year, gunfire was directed toward his house. He was a journalist doing his job and purposefully murdered by Arabs who didn’t like what he was doing. Yet all we hear is crickets from the vast majority of the anti-Israel contingent and their amen corner. This is because one journalist was killed by a fellow Arab while the other may have been killed by an Israeli soldier. As Professor David E. Bernstein aptly notes, Ijbaria’s murder “won’t get even 1/1000 the worldwide attention of Shireen Abu Akleh being killed while in a crossfire in the West Bank.”
These points are not meant to diminish in any way the tragedy of Abu Akleh’s death. Rather, they are meant to highlight the disingenuousness, hypocrisy and malevolence of Israel’s enemies, whose level of moral depravity knows no bounds.
