Study: There Is No Single ‘Gay Gene’

A new study has concluded that while no single “gay gene” exists, same-sex sexual behavior is likely influenced by the interaction of many genetic and environmental factors.

Results of the investigation showed that, as is the case for much of human behavior, same-sex sexual behavior is influenced by both “nature and nurture.”

The large-scale study was headed by Andrea Ganna, of both the MIT Broad Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and published at Science. The study was performed in the wake of other studies that reported genetic variants associated with sexual orientation, but whose sample sizes were too small to allow their results to be meaningful.

Ganna and colleagues conducted their research with 470,000 participants from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.

With data sourced from the UK Biobank and from personal genetics company 23andMe, the researchers investigated the genetic makeup of individuals who reported same-sex sexual behavior.

“Throughout this manuscript, we use the terms ‘female’ and ‘male’ rather than ‘woman’ and ‘man,’” the authors note. “This is because our analyses and results relate to biologically defined sex, not to gender.”

In the end, the researchers were unable to find any specific genetic patterns that could ultimately be used to predict or identify an individual’s sexual orientation.

They say they did observe, nevertheless, five locations in the human genome that are clearly associated with same-sex sexual behavior.

The researchers explain:

Three of these replicated in other independent samples whose measures related to identity and attraction rather than behavior. In particular, the finding that one … is linked to male pattern balding and is nearby a gene … relevant to sexual differentiation strengthens the idea that sex-hormone regulation may be involved in the development of same-sex sexual behavior.

That another location is reportedly “strongly linked to several genes involved in olfaction [sense of smell] raises intriguing questions,” they add:

Although the underlying mechanism at this locus is unclear, a link between olfaction and reproductive function has previously been established. Individuals with Kallmann syndrome exhibit both delayed or absent pubertal development and an impaired sense of smell because of the close developmental origin of fetal gonadotropin-releasing hormone and olfactory neurons.

“[M]any loci underlie same-sex sexual behavior in both sexes,” the researchers continue:

We found several personality traits (loneliness and openness to experience), risky behaviors (smoking and cannabis use) and mental health disorders, but not physical traits, to be significantly genetically correlated with same-sex sexual behavior. We found in both sexes that same-sex sexual behavior was positively genetically correlated with several psychiatric or mental health traits …

Regarding environmental factors influencing same-sex sexual behavior, co-author Ben Neale of the MIT Broad Institute and MGH said, according to Cosmos, “[W]e can’t say what those environmental factors are, it’s more that we have a sense they exist because we put bounds on the extent to which the genetics is really influencing the trait.”

“Both things matter,” he added nevertheless. “That’s the sort of take-home message. Yes, there’s some biology and yes, there’s likely some environment, but beyond that we can’t specify.”

A French tourist has admitted impregnating more than 600 women in six African countries within two years. Forty-year old Jean Michel made the revelation on an online news site “Africa24”.

The six countries included Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Togo, Ghana and Guinea.

Why it matters: Many Africans see all westerners as very wealthy people who can change their lives. They easily give in to all their requests and desires and are taken advantage of.

His confession has been translated from French to English by Simon Ateba in Washington, District of Columbia:

“Good morning Africa 24, I have a confession to make about the havoc I have wreaked in six African countries, including Cameroon, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana and Guinea. I am not proud of what I have done. These were unfortunate experiences.

“In France where I hail from, I did not have money. I was very poor until one day I played and won lottery. I won 550 thousand euros. It was the largest sum of money I had received in life.

“I did not know what to do, and a friend suggested we travel to Africa. We obtained all the documents, entry visa, and the rest, and our first stop was Ivory Coast.

“In Abidjan (the capital of Ivory Coast), we rented a furnished apartment. We had money to spend and met Ivorian people and we became friends. They introduced young Ivorian girls to us, and that’s when it all started.

“I began having sex with girls every day. Sometimes, I would sleep with three girls at the same time. It was a marvelous experience.

“I worried less about my health. All I wanted was to have fun. My friends and I were in a night club in the town every day looking for girls.

“One time, I met a girl and gave her money, and she told me to be engaged to her. She was ready to get pregnant for me. I don’t know whether it was the money they liked or the fact that I was from France that attracted them.

“I spent three months in Ivory Coast, spent 60, 000 euros and slept with more than 80 girls.

“After leaving Ivory Coast, I went to Togo where I slept with over 100 girls and spent 40, 000 euros.

“I spent three months in Togo and went to Nigeria.

“Nigeria was where I got more girls. I did not speak English, and it seems Nigerian girls love foreigners.

“I rented a furnished apartment in Nigeria and I was in Lagos for six months. I spent 100,000 euros and slept with 230 girls. Nigeria was the place I appreciated the most. Girls were always available and easy to deceive.

“From Nigeria, I went to Ghana, and then Cameroon and ended what I describe as my sex tour in Guinea.

“I was in those three countries for more than a year and spent over 200, 000 euros. If I told you I slept with more than 700 girls in those three countries, you won’t believe me, but it was unbelievable!

“In all, I slept with more than 1,400 girls in six different African countries. I have all their pictures in my photo album, including the dates we met, their names and phone numbers. I opened a Facebook account only for them.

“Since I returned to France, I have had more than 600 of them who told me they got pregnant for me. Some committed abortion, and I do not know exactly how many finally gave birth.

“Africa is a marvelous continent. Girls are beautiful and very sexy. All they want is a man who has money, and the worst is when he’s white.

“I realised that they love having mixed race babies. I do not know why, but many would do anything to get pregnant for you. 100 euros is plenty of money in Africa.

“To summarise, I went on a sex tour in Africa, I slept with 1,400 girls in two years and more than 600 got pregnant.

“I know many of you would judge me, but I do not care about your insults. I know that what I did is not good, but I enjoyed my stay in Africa, and I am planning another trip to Senegal, Mali, Gabon, Benin, Niger and Democratic Republic of Congo.

“The day after I returned to France, I went to the hospital for medical exams, and luckily, I was HIV negative, and I did not have any other infectious disease.

“My friend was also negative and we are planning another trip.

“I did not go to secondary school, so disregard my grammatical errors. Thank you for reading my story”.

Longtime readers may remember Dr. Marcie Bianco. Three years ago, the Harvard-educated lesbian professor inspired me to write this:

So long as a woman (a) despises men and (b) is willing to tell shameless lies in support of feminism’s anti-male agenda, there are no limits to how far she may go, particularly in the field of journalism. . . .
Dr. Marcie Bianco is not merely an atheist lesbian feminist public intellectual, she is the atheist lesbian feminist public intellectual. Did I mention she’s a Democrat who supports Hillary Clinton?

Well, her #Lesbians4Hillary campaign didn’t quite work out, but Dr. Bianco recently gained further notoriety:

Women are increasingly opting out of heterosexuality because it is “the bedrock of their global oppression,” NBC News asserted in a bizarre opinion piece this week.
“Men need heterosexuality to maintain their societal dominance over women,” writes Marcie Bianco for the NBC News website. “Women, on the other hand, are increasingly realizing not only that they don’t need heterosexuality, but that it also is often the bedrock of their global oppression.”
Ms. Bianco lumps together a series of recent news stories, “from Jeffrey Epstein to the Dayton and El Paso mass shooters, to Miley Cyrus’s separation and Julianne Hough’s declaration that she’s ‘not straight,’” which, she says, “together have laid bare the strictures of an American patriarchy on the edge of a nervous breakdown.”

Anyone who has read my book Sex Trouble is familiar with such arguments, which require no rebuttal except to look around you. The feminist assertion of patriarchal oppression is a conspiracy theory as demented, in its own way, as The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. Any woman who is not consumed by fear and hatred of males can survey the circumstances of men and women she actually knows and conclude that, so far as conflict between them is concerned, “it takes two to tango.” Sure, some guys are brutal a–holes, but there are plenty of bad women in the world, too. Nor do I think that lesbians generally endorse the Patriarchal Oppression Theory of Heterosexuality advanced by feminists like Dr. Bianco. It’s like the difference between being working class and being a Marxist. The ordinary working guy may not necessarily be happy with his life, but he’s not likely to view himself as a member of the oppressed proletariat engaged in some kind of dialectic materialist world-historical class struggle. Trying to explain a phenomenon as diverse and complex as human sexual behavior according to a rigid ideological framework like feminist theory is a fool’s errand.

The man-hating feminist is like those “incel” guys who can’t get laid and complain that “all women are whores.” The fact that he has been a complete failure with the opposite sex becomes the basis of a generalized hatred of women. The alternative explanation — to admit that perhaps his own errors or inadequacy might have something to do with his misfortune — is intolerable to him, and so instead the “incel” reverses the causality: He is the “supreme gentleman,” a la Elliot Rodger, and it’s an injustice that beautiful women don’t appreciate his superior qualities, instead preferring to date the loathsome Chad.

Do we need to know anything about Marcie Bianco’s personal experiences with men to determine whether her feminism is a sour-grapes rationalization? No, because feminism is always ultimately such a rationalization. There are happy, successful women in the world who are manifestly not oppressed victims of patriarchy, and feminist ideology only appeals to angry and unhappy women as an excuse for their own misery. Sic semper hoc. But we cannot laugh away feminist lunacy as a joke, because there are a lot of people who take it seriously, and most of those people are Democrats. This is quite unfortunate for men in the Democratic Party who, just a few years ago, thought that feminists were their friends. Take, for example, Pennsylvania State Sen. Daylin Leach. He was a progressive hero to Pennsylvania Democrats until 2017 when he decided to run for Congress. Well, there were women in the state Democratic Party who coveted that seat and Daylin Leach is a man. Suddenly (but perhaps not coincidentally) Leach found himself accused of “inappropriate” conduct toward women. First one woman, then another, and another — it’s amazing how the accusers come out of the woodwork in such circumstances — all with tales to tell of creepy behavior by the would-be congressional candidate. Finally, a woman came forward to claim that in 1991, when she was 17 years old, she was raped by Daylin Leach. Eventually, he was forced to withdraw from the primary, his reputation ruined by the #MeToo mob. Leach has insisted he is an innocent man, and Charles Glasser is willing to entertain the possibility that Leach got railroaded, but my point is this: Imagine if you were a young heterosexual man with political ambitions. Wouldn’t it seem to you that your future prospects as a Democrat are rather bleak? Does a heterosexual man have any future in the Democratic Party?

The feminist takeover of the Democratic Party is now so far advanced that it is almost certain they’ll nominate another woman for president in 2020 — and 2024, and 2028, ad infinitum — as the party’s complete surrender to identity politics is not without consequences:

If you want to know why Donald Trump is president, you might begin by examining the career of Marcie Bianco. An alumna of Harvard University (Class of 2002) with a Ph.D. from Rutgers, Dr. Bianco is an atheist, a feminist, a lesbian, and, of course, a Democrat. As president of the Harvard student Democrat organization in 2000, she worked for Al Gore’s doomed presidential campaign and, in 2016, she tweeted up a storm for Hillary Clinton, promoting the “Lesbians for Hillary” campaign for the activist group LPAC. Formerly an instructor at New York’s Hunter College and now affiliated with elite Stanford University, Dr. Bianco is a one-woman combination of almost everything that 62.9 million Americans voted against when they checked the box for Trump in 2016.
Perhaps concerned to maintain her status as the symbolic explanation for why Trump won, Dr. Bianco recently drew attention to herself by publishing (on the NBC News website, of course) a genuinely bizarre screed against heterosexuality. With the headline “Miley Cyrus’ split with Liam Hemsworth isn’t just celebrity gossip — it’s a blow to the patriarchy,” Dr. Bianco turned a recent bit of tabloid fodder into an argument that we are witnessing “an American patriarchy on the edge of a nervous breakdown” because “heterosexuality is just not working.” Somehow, a notoriously ditzy ex-Disney starlet’s lesbian liaison that prompted her husband to file for divorce isn’t a commentary on Hollywood degeneracy; instead, according to Dr. Bianco, it’s a heroic tale from the “vanguard of feminist thought,” with the former Hannah Montana actress “challenging heterosexuality” which is the “bedrock” of women’s “global oppression.” Conservative commentators reacted to Dr. Bianco’s argument in various ways. “THE LEFT IS INSANE,” declared Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit, while the Media Research Center’s Matt Philbin mocked Dr. Bianco’s feminist analysis as second-hand Marxism: “You suffer from false consciousness, Comrade Lady Girl. You don’t realize how unhappy you are. Reeducation will open your eyes to the exploitation of the capitalist, er, patriarchal oppressors.” . . .

North Central College Student Details Mandatory Social Justice Training

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter president Hope Flynn told Breitbart News that North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, is mandating that all students take a “political correctness module,” so that the school can inform them of their level of “privilege,” and remind students that they could be unknowingly offending others. Flynn joined host SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily Alex Marlow in a Wednesday interview for TPUSA’s weekly campus report.

“[The module] did ask us to describe our diversity, which basically meant we had to tell them what our race was, what our gender was, what our sexual orientation was, our religion, and then our political orientation,” said Flynn of the mandatory questioning. “The entire time they would ask us these pretty personal questions.”

Girls Volleyball Coach Rejects School District’s Transgender Inclusion Policy

One girls volleyball coach in Hawaii is standing up to the Hawaii High School Athletic Association’s (HHSAA) policy allowing male students to participate in female sporting activities so long as they self-identify as the opposite gender.

According to LifeSiteNews, the HHSAA adopted a policy in 2017 declaring that students are “presumed eligible to participate in HHSAA activities in a manner consistent with their school registration records, even if that differs from the sex assigned at birth.” Earlier this month, that policy culminated in a biological suiting up for the Kamehameha Schools Maui girls team at the volleyball opener in Pukalani. Though most officials associated with the HHSAA either supported the student’s inclusion or declined to comment on it, one girls volleyball coach — who wished to remain anonymous — told Maui News said the league puts young women at an “elevated level of risk.”

“In my opinion, it’s very irresponsible for the league to place these young women, who are minors, in an elevated level of risk,” the coach said. “They all sign off on an assumption of risk form for an understandable amount of risk. Now, there’s an elevated level of risk their daughters are going through and being put through without any notification to the parents at all.”

The coach added that he takes no issue with the boy wanting to be whom he wishes and only cares about the girls’ safety. “I have no problem with the kid being who (they) want to be, but now these girls are being put in an unsafe situation without giving the parents the opportunity to make an educated decision on whether they want their daughter in that position,” he said.

Other athletic officials were less honest about the boy suiting up for an all-female game, which he did not play this time around.

“I’m not going to say anything about our transgender athlete,” Kamehameha Maui athletic director Jon Viela told Maui News.

Canada: Muslim wanted to fulfill “wishes of Allah to kill non-Muslims,” is freed, must get therapy, meet with imam

“Toronto man who tried to join ISIS released from prison, official says,” by Stewart Bell, Global News, August 21, 2019:

Toronto man convicted of travelling to Turkey to join the so-called Islamic State has been released from prison four months after he was sentenced, an official said Wednesday.

Pamir Hakimzadah was charged with terrorism in April 2017 following what the RCMP called an “extensive” national security investigation. He pleaded guilty in February 2019.

He has now been freed from a maximum security prison in Penetanguishene, Ont., said Andrew Morrison, a spokesperson for the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General.

“The individual was admitted to the Central North Correctional Centre on April 4, 2019 and was released June 28, 2019 after completing his sentence,” Morrison told Global News.

The 30-year-old, who allegedly told a witness that “all non-Muslims should be killed,” must now serve three years on probation, during which time he must participate in de-radicalization.

He is also prohibited from possessing a firearm for three years, cannot obtain a passport and must undergo psychotherapy and meet weekly with an imam from the Risalah Foundation….

In an agreed statement of facts filed in court in February, Hakimzadah admitted he had travelled to Istanbul in October 2014 with the intention of crossing into Syria to join ISIS.

“Prior to his departure, Pamir had exhibited increasingly radical Islamic beliefs. He spoke either in favour or in defence of ISIS. He viewed online ISIS content such as videos and posts,” the statement said….

According to allegations at his bail hearing, after returning to Toronto, he told his family he would try to travel to Syria again and that he would be “fulfilling the wishes of God to kill non-Muslims.”…

At the sentencing, the judge said Hakimzadah had taken responsibility for his actions, had not continued to voice violent extremist views and had been “a positive role model.”
