Study: EVs release 1,850x more particle pollution than gas-powered cars
This isn’t a chink in armor, but rather a tornado to the house of cards that is the E.V. agenda.
Two years ago, an emissions data firm known as Emissions Analytics, published a study that revealed E.V.s emitted more pollution than gas-powered cars, and the type of pollution they emitted is the most common vehicle-related environmental contamination. The study flew relatively under the radar until a few days ago, when an editorial in The Wall Street Journal recalled public attention to it.
Here are some blurbs from an abridged version, via the New York Post:
[The study] found that brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes, which have ‘efficient’ exhaust filters, bringing gas-powered vehicles’ emissions to new lows.
Today, most vehicle-related pollution comes from tire wear.
As heavy cars drive on light-duty tires — most often made with synthetic rubber made from crude oil and other fillers and additives — they deteriorate and release harmful chemicals into the air, according to Emission Analytics.
A particle-pollution rate almost 2,000 times worse than traditional cars? Of course that’s not even factoring in the environmental impact of mining the materials, the manufacturing process, and the disposal of these things. Oh, and that’s not the only disparate impact—the slave labor used to mine the mineral is medieval and rife with child abuse (Congo and its cobalt mining practices come to mind).
And, as if this weren’t condemnatory enough, testimony from a recent House subcommittee hearing revealed “the extent of the hazard posed to firefighters and other first-responders” when battling an E.V. fire, most importantly, “exposure to toxic gasses and electrocution.” Here’s this, from reporter Kevin Killough last week:
Fire Chief Dan Munsey, Fire Chief for the San Bernardino County Fire Department in California, explained that the EV fires give off ‘copious amounts of toxic chemical gasses,’ and current personal protective equipment (PPE) hasn’t been designed to protect firefighters from the types of gasses their exposed to when responding to these kinds of fires.
Among those chemicals, Munsey said, is hydrogen fluorine. According to the CDC, breathing the acid can damage lung tissue and cause swelling and fluid accumulation in the lungs.
‘Frankly, over my career, I’ve seen way too many firefighters die from cancer. Our cancer rate is higher than the civilian population. The electric vehicle lithium ion batteries pose a challenge to firefighters’ health,’ Munsey said.
Furthermore, Killough also noted this:
A study by the Manhattan Institute found that EVs production creates a lot more carbon dioxide emissions to manufacture than conventional cars.
As a colleague concisely said: “dirty to make, dirty to drive.”
So, if all this is known, why the misinformation (E.V.s are not “zero emissions” options), and government bludgeoning for the agenda?
Because, as we canaries in the coal—or is it lithium?—mine have presciently warned… it’s never been about the environment.
The Left Demands Millions of Human Sacrifices to Appease the Gods of Climate Change
“At their Monday night poker game in hell,” writes Mark Steyn, “I’ll bet Stalin, Hitler, and Mao are kicking themselves. ‘It’s about leaving a better planet for our children?’ Why didn’t we think of that?”
These three evil socialists of yesteryear would certainly be green with envy at the way today’s green socialists have convinced millions of citizens to willingly surrender their liberty to the State.
“The ruling classes of the fading West are determined to save the planet by immiserating their fellow citizens,” writes Joel Kotkin. He continues:
Their program calls not only for fewer people and fewer families, but also for lower consumption among the masses. They expect us to live in ever smaller dwelling units, to have less mobility, and to endure more costly home heating and air-conditioning. These priorities are reflected in a regulatory bureaucracy that, if it does not claim justification from God, acts as the right hand of Gaia and of sanctified science.
This apparent religiosity highlights an interesting sort of logical somersault for modern progressives. On the one hand, they believe it to be primitive “Christian Nationalism” to assert, as all documents associated with America’s Founding do, that our natural rights were endowed to us by God, rather than some government edict written by a government official somewhere. On the other hand, high priestesses like Nancy Pelosi assure the faithful that hurricanes on the Gulf Coast and wildfires on the West Coast are signs that “Mother Earth is angry,” and is visiting her vengeance upon us.
Quite literally, today’s party of The Science™ is an apocalyptic doomsday cult which fears the wrath of deities that are personified by nature, complete with the sacrifice of countless children.
“Access to safe abortion is a right, a moral imperative,” says Gabby Bess in her article at Vice. This article is wisely silent on the question as to who or what bestows this “right” among women to voluntarily kill their unwanted babies, but we can safely assume it’s not the Christian God that was recognized by the Founders as having bestowed upon us a right to life.
On a global scale, 73 million babies are killed in the womb every year, or roughly 200,000 killed per day. In America alone, 1-in-5 women who become pregnant kill their babies, at a rate ranging between 1,500 and 2,500 per day.
But that’s not enough to satiate Mother Earth’s bloodlust, suggest Robert N. Proctor and Londa Schiebinger at the Yale School of the Environment.
“Voluntary family planning is too often ignored as a means to lower carbon emissions,” they offer. The killing of 73 million babies resulting from unintended pregnancies might be a good start, but those are rookie numbers, I guess, given that “as many as 121 million pregnancies each year are unintended.” Ostensibly, every “unintended” pregnancy results in a child who should be killed before he or she has the opportunity to add “4.5 tons of carbon into the air annually” by simply living on Earth.
This is all packaged as new and scientific revelation, of course, but political leadership and their propaganda surrogates suggesting that the totemic mass sacrifice of human beings will change the weather isn’t exactly new.
The Aztecs, for example, followed a very strict cycle of 52 years which they believed related to their five primary deities. Human sacrifice, performed at a massive scale, helped prevent the end of the world at the end of each cycle, Aztec priests argued.
One particular god, Tlaloc, was the god of rain, water, and earthly fertility. The human sacrifices to this god were, incidentally, children. “The Aztecs believed that if the god didn’t get them, he’d wreak havoc — ruining crops, withholding precious rainwater, and sending bouts of diseases throughout the land.”
The problem for the Aztecs and other Mesoamerican cultures wasn’t that they lacked scientific clout or sophistication in their day. They ran into a more familiar problem — they made defined promises and predictions, only to have unexpected things happen.
One of the reasons that the Mayan civilization collapsed, it is argued, is that the Mayan leaders left themselves accountable for the unpredictable nature of planet Earth. “Several severe — multi-year — droughts struck between [A.D.] 800 and 930,” says Lisa Lucero of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. But the fact that the rulers tied themselves to the deities linked to natural events like droughts was their downfall. When the drought came, it didn’t just create doubt in the deity, it created doubt in the political leadership.
Though some on the left might be surprised to hear it, longstanding droughts, destructive floods, massive hurricanes, and much else managed to exist prior to the Industrial Revolution which has been, by far, the fastest and greatest improvement to the standard of living for humankind that has ever taken place in history. But those peddling green energy and the sacrifice of children to appease Mother Earth today have found immunity that previous tyrants were unable to find, it seems.
Bad crop season due to drought? That’s climate change.
Plenty of rain and a great crop season? Well, climate change is still occurring. The inevitable drought is coming, and when it does, it’ll be because of climate change, mark their words.
Heat wave? Climate change. Blizzards? Also climate change. Tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires? It’s climate change all the way down.
In any event, the world’s mothers are still meant to sacrifice their babies on the altar of the climate gods, and everyone else must pay their tribute, today in the form of increased energy costs and taxpayer-financed subsidies, to companies favorable to the ruling class.
Returning to Mark Steyn, perhaps it’s not that Stalin, Hitler, and Mao are marveling from hell about the brilliance of modern green socialists, after all. Perhaps they’re marveling at just how stupid and pliant we human beings have become. As Steyn comments about then-President Obama’s proposed cow-flatulence tax:
If you went to an 11th century medieval peasant and said, ‘So, peasant, I come from the king. You have to pay a bovine flatulence tax’ he would say, ah get out of here. A medieval peasant would know that was nonsense. Now we take it seriously.
What progressives are pitching with the green agenda today is anything but progress, and their prescriptions to maintain political power are sillier and deadlier than ever. But that doesn’t stop young people, being tutored in the modern-day temples that we call universities, from offering their absolute devotion to this green doomsday cult.

Why will you never hear April Bradford’s name mentioned on CNN? Because she is something that the liberal media wishes us to believe is non-existent. April Bradford is a lesbian child molester:
A former Floyd County educator was sentenced Thursday to three-and-a-half years in prison for crimes involving the sexual assault of minors while she was their coach and teacher, Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman announced.
April Bradford, 51, of Weeksbury, pleaded guilty on November 30 to eight counts of sodomy third degree and 11 counts of sex abuse first degree, a news release from Coleman said. Coleman’s office prosecuted the case.
As part of her guilty plea, Bradford admitted to sexually abusing two minors between 1997 and 2007, both of whom she held a position of authority over as their coach and teacher during the victims’ middle and high school years.
“The offenders who exploit children inflict painful damage that lasts long beyond the time of their crimes. We in law enforcement must continue adapting to protect our young people from these predators,” said Coleman.
Bradford was suspended as assistant principal of South Floyd Elementary School when the abuse allegations came to light in 2022.
In addition to her prison sentence, Bradford will be a lifetime sex-offender registrant under the Kentucky sex offender registry, which includes five years of post-incarceration supervision by the Department of Corrections. A condition of the plea was a 10-year interpersonal protective order against Bradford for the benefit of the victims.
Survivors of Bradford’s abuse read statements at the sentencing:
“April Bradford was a terrible influence on my life and caused more damage than good,” said Mary Prater. “She deceived me, my family, our school and everyone in the community. I can stand today with my head held high knowing that God gave me and Jessica the strength to grow up and make it stop.”
Prater and Jessica Hensley recently told the Herald-Leader they are frustrated more hasn’t been done to address teachers who prey on students.
“Ever since I realized what my interactions with April truly were, I had a burning desire to come forward. I constantly worried about the generation of girls that were following me,” said Hensley’s sentencing statement. “This legal journey has been mentally difficult, but I am grateful.”
Coleman said he was grateful to Prater and Hensley for using their “powerful stories to ensure justice was done,” according to the sentencing announcement.
A September 2022 investigation by the Herald-Leader highlighted the problem of teacher sexual misconduct in Kentucky. The newspaper obtained 194 cases of teachers who voluntarily surrendered or had their license revoked or suspended from 2016 to 2021. Of those, 118 — 61% — lost their license due to sexual misconduct.
House Bill 275 in the 2024 General Assembly, filed by House Education Committee Chairman James Tipton, R-Taylorsville, would strengthen a school’s ability to prevent child sexual abuse by adult staff. It increases reporting requirements for teachers, making it more difficult for teachers who had previously been accused of sexual misconduct to move from school to school.
Under the bill, any prior allegation of sexual misconduct would be kept in the teacher’s file unless it was proven false — then it would be removed. Teachers would also have to undergo training on appropriate boundaries between teachers and students. Both Prater and Hensley previously said the legislation is overdue.
The current bill has been approved by the Kentucky House of Representatives but has not yet been addressed in the Senate. A similar bill was proposed in 2023 but did not pass.

Perhaps just 3½ years for a lesbian in lady jail isn’t really “address(ing) teachers who prey on students”? . . .
Under Miss Bradford’s original charges, she faced a possible 265 years in prison, yet her attorney managed to negotiate it down to 3½. Simply one conviction on a Class B felony yields a maximum sentence of 20 years, which would seem to seem to be appropriate. As it is, Miss Bradford will be only 54 or 55 years old when she gets out, plenty of time left to enjoy life as best she can.
Really, think of what sentence the court might impose on a male teacher charged with molesting two girls, including one whose abuse began in middle school. Do you really think the sentence for such an offender would be a mere 3½ years? But never mind that . . .
Here’s what I said about this case in December:
Years ago, I realized that the media deal with what we are now supposed to call “the LGBTQ community” not as reporters, but as public-relations agents. Their overriding concern is to ensure that the public receives only favorable information about gay people. Even when the news about gay people is very negative — and hey, the AIDS epidemic was kind of a bummer — the coverage is designed to encourage sympathy for gay people, who are portrayed as Just Like You and Me (Only Better).
And as I said when gay activists Dale Zulock and Zachary Jacoby Zulock were arrested for pimping out their two adopted sons, “the media want us to believe that there is no such thing as a gay pedophile.”
Because gay people are presumed to be constituents of the Democratic Party, there is a see-no-evil stance toward gay people in the media. Therefore crimes like this never get national coverage, but are treated as strictly local news. But if a gay person claims to be the victim of a crime? Well, Jussie Smollett could not be reached for comment.
This is not about hating gay people. It’s about hating the media, in particular, liberal journalists who think of themselves as paragons of moral virtue, even while they engage in shameful dishonesty.

Liberty University penalized $16M for covering up sexual voilence
Liberty University will face a $16 million penalty for creating a culture where students were afraid to report when they suffered sexual violence.
The financial sanction, announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Education, is the largest of its kind.
“Through today’s action against Liberty, we’re sending the message that we will hold schools accountable if they fail to follow the important requirements of the Clery Act,” said Richard Cordray, the head of the agency’s Federal Student Aid office.
In addition to a $14 million fine, the Christian university will be required to spend $2 million over the next two years “for on-campus safety improvements and compliance enhancements.” And it will be under federal monitoring through April 2026. The agency conducted its investigation under the Clery Act, a federal law that requires universities to track crimes on their campus and warn students of danger.
USA TODAY obtained a preliminary Education Department report in 2023 that found, “victims of sexual assault felt dissuaded by Liberty administration’s reputation for punishing sexual assault survivors rather than helping them.”
The final report was unsparing about Liberty’s failure to create a safe environment. It cited rules the university developed itself that worked against that, including the Liberty Way – a student code of conduct that punishes drinking, drugs and sexual acts.
“Consequently, victims of sexual assault often felt dissuaded by Liberty administration’s reputation for punishing sexual assault survivors rather than helping them,” the report said. “Such fears created a culture of silence where sexual assaults commonly went unreported.”

In Blood Money, Schweizer, who is a Breitbart News senior contributor and the president of the Government Accountability Institute, reveals China’s multi-pronged, covert attack on America. In Chapter 6, called “Destabilizing Democracy,” Schweizer explores how two billionaires, China-based American Neville Roy Singham and Alibaba co-founder Joseph Tsai, prop up radical activists groups that use transgenderism as a weapon against the “capitalist order.”
Schweizer first focuses on Singham, who grew up in Jamaica and Detroit, Michigan, and as a young man adopted communist ideological views, joining the League of Revolutionary Black Workers (LRBW). Singham ended up creating a software business named Thoughtworks, while also serving as a “strategic technical consultant” for Huawei, the Chinese military-linked tech company.
Thoughtworks eventually opened an office in Beijing; and in 2010, it held its Software Development Conference in China’s capital city. However, Singham ended up selling the company in 2017, a sale which was a “financial boon” for him and enabled him to dump money into various companies in China, where he now lives, according to Blood Money.
“While enjoying his affluent life and connections in Beijing, Singham has poured more than $100 million into organizations driving the protest movement in the United States,” Schweizer details. “According to the chief scientist at Thoughtworks, Martin Fowler, Singham sold the company so he could fund his ‘activist work’: radical pro–Communist Chinese causes.”

Kanye West sued by Donna Summer estate over ‘I Feel Love’ sample
The estate of late singer Donna Summer has begun legal action against rappers Kanye West (Ye) and Ty Dolla $ign for allegedly using her song “I Feel Love” on their album Vultures 1 without permission.
The lawsuit has been brought forward by Bruce Sudano, Summer’s widower and executor of her estate. The musician, who was widely known as the “Queen of Disco” died in 2012, aged 63.
The complaint states West and Ty Dolla $ign, real name Tyrone Griffin, were not authorised to use her song in the track “Good (Don’t Die)”, which has been removed from streaming services following an earlier complaint by the estate.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Los Angeles, also alleges when representatives of Ye asked for permission to use the song they were rejected because the Summer estate “wanted no association with West’s controversial history.” They say they rejected the request on 3 February.
The estate claims the album instead “shamelessly” includes re-recorded parts of the song that were “instantly recognisable.”
“In the face of this rejection, defendants arrogantly and unilaterally decided they would simply steal ‘I Feel Love’ and use it without permission.”
“The Summer Estate not only considered the immense commercial value of the ‘I Feel Love’ composition, but also the potential degradation to Summer’s legacy,” the complaint said.
“West is known as a controversial public figure whose conduct has led numerous brands and business partners to disassociate from him.”

Houthi Terrorist attack on Red Sea ship causes massive oil slick
The Yemen-based Houthi attack last week on a UK-owned ship in the Red Sea caused a 29-kilometer (18-mile) oil spill, the US military said early Saturday.
The Rubymar, a Belize-flagged vessel, was attacked on February 18, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement on X, formerly Twitter, adding that the vessel “is anchored but slowly taking on water.”
CENTCOM said that the vessel was transporting over 41,000 tons of fertilizer when it suffered an “unprovoked and reckless attack” that caused “significant damage” and an “18-mile oil slick.”
Fertilizer spill would worsen ‘environmental disaster’
The statement warned that the fertilizer has the potential to spill into the Red Sea and worsen what it already billed as an “environmental disaster.”
The Houthi rebels said on Monday that they had attacked a British ship in the Gulf of Aden, claiming that the vessel was so severely damaged that it could sink.
The ship’s operator said Thursday the ship could be towed this week to Djibouti, where the crew were evacuated to, before being flown home.

Yesterday, The Roys Report (TRR) Founder Julie Roys posted a clip on X, formerly Twitter, of a sermon last August by Pastor Bobby Leonard of Bible Baptist Tabernacle in Monroe, North Carolina.
Commenting on seeing women wearing shorts at an outlet mall, Leonard said, “If you dress like that and you get raped, and I’m on the jury, he’s going to go free. You don’t like that, do you? I’m right, though. Because a man’s a man.”
As of publication time, the post has been viewed 2.7 million times, only 26 hours after being posted.
In the post, which also has 100,000 total engagements and over 18,000 likes, Roys writes: “Yes, a man is a man—not an animal. And HE is responsible for controlling himself. This pastor needs to resign.”
