‘Drunk’ British sailors from HMS Queen Elizabeth arrested in Florida

Six British sailors from the new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth – which includes personnel from Cornwall – have been detained in America over allegations of drunken behaviour.

It has been reported that one of the sailors had to be tasered by police while two others were also arrested for resisting officers.

In total six were detained and were being held in US police custody on Friday.

The Royal Navy’s largest warship docked in Florida on Wednesday, where it is to begin sea trials with new joint-US fighters.
