Poland’s health minister has said legal changes are being planned to help crack down on designer drugs.
Around a dozen people aged 14 to 30 from the north-western town of Trzebiatów were taken to hospitals at the beginning of this week after they showed symptoms of ingesting psychoactive drugs. Some of them were in a serious condition.
An 18-year-old was on Wednesday charged with selling harmful psychoactive substances.
Poland currently bans the possession and production of 38 such substances without permission.
“The problem is that manufacturers of dangerous substances can evade [the law] very easily by introducing small changes in the composition and devising new names,” said Health Minister Łukasz Szumowski.
An 18 year old editorial from a local Canadian newspaper has emerged accusing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of inappropriate sexual contact with a reporter.
In the article from August 2000 published in the Creston Valley Advance, a local paper in British Columbia, Trudeau told the young woman: “I’m sorry. If I had known you were reporting for a national paper, I would never have been so forward.”
The editorial scoffs at Trudeau’s flippant apology and reprimands the young Trustifarian and son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, reports Breitbart News.
“[S]houldn’t the son of a former prime minister be aware of the rights and wrongs that go along with public socializing?” the writer says.
