According to a new government survey to be released this week, the majority of those surveyed indicated their belief that Muslim immigrants hold “fundamentally different values” (including on the issue of women’s rights) and that “mainstream Islam promotes violence”. Attitudes of participants are already being dismissed as “Islamophobic”.
The Toronto Star titled their account of the story: “Ontario facing ‘epidemic of Islamophobia’ survey finds”. The article did not discuss possible reasons for the attitude of Ontarians, which just may be based on real occurrences with real victims. Some examples: i) Sweden has now become the rapecapital of the world; ii) a thousand women were sexually assaulted in Germany as the migrant rapecrisis worsens; iii) the 70,000 crimes committed or attempted by migrants in Germany, iv) the declaration by the Islamic State that they have infiltrated the refugees and will continue to do so.
There were also the stories the media covered up, about Muslim “refugees” threatening a Minnesota community with rape, and the incident involving the sexual harassment of teen girls by refugee men at a high school in New Brunswick.
Not all Muslim migrants are criminals. Among them are decent human beings who have gone through hellish experiences, and they need help. But Western media and authorities are also providing cover for jihadists and Muslim migrant criminals, at the expense of innocents who elected them in trust.
It is reprehensible that the entirely warranted caution and fears about Muslim migrant violence that are expressed by hardworking, taxpaying citizens of Canada (and in other Western nations) are brushed aside and deemed “islamophobic”. Authorities are failing their citizenry.
“After Importing Thousands Of Refugees, Canadians Now Say Muslim Immigrants Have ‘Fundamentally Different Values’”, by Peter Hasson, Daily Caller, June 7, 2016:
After welcoming almost 12,000 refugees to their region, three-quarters of Canadians living in the province of Ontario now say that Muslim immigrants hold fundamentally different values and a majority believe mainstream Islam promotes violence, according to a new survey to be released this week.
The survey was funded by the province and the city of Toronto as part of a joint educational campaign “to address xenophobia, Islamophobia, and anti-immigrant sentiments.”
While 60 percent of Ontarians say they initially supported the decision to import Syrian refugees, 75 percent now say Muslim immigrants hold fundamentally different values and a majority now say Islam’s mainstream doctrines promote violence. Only one-third of those in the region have a positive impression of the religion.
Three-quarters of Ontarians wish their country would focus on taking care of its own citizens instead of devoting resources to foreign refugees.
A majority of Ontarians — 53 percent — say Canada should only accept immigrants from countries with similar values as their own and 74 percent say Canada needs to be more strict about the immigrants it accepts into the country.
The Toronto Star, which first reported the survey results, claimed that negative views of Islam were equivalent to Islamophobia. The lede for the story read: “While Canada rides a wave of global praise for welcoming Syrian refugees, a new poll suggests we’re also facing a wave of something sinister — Islamophobia.”
Canadian officials are also interpreting the results to mean an increase in Islamophobia. “There is an epidemic of Islamophobia in Ontario. Only a third of Ontarians have a positive impression of the religion and more than half feel its mainstream doctrines promote violence (an anomaly compared to other religions),” the survey said….
Imam Abbas Abedi, the Founder and Director of Hidayat TV in UK, was the keynote speaker at theannual pro Iranian Islamic Al-Quds Day Rally in Toronto which was held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in support of the call of Iranian regime to oppose Zionism and Israel’s right to exist.
In his speech, Abedi accused Zionism of being is the “main source of all problems” emphasizing that the world is “full of oppression and full of injustice” because “some are supporting an illegal state, called Israel.”
We went on the say that Zionism is the “mother” of terrorism, extremism, oppression across the world, theHouse of Saud [rulers of Saudi Arabia] and the Islamic State (a.k.a IS, ISIS. ISIL, Deash and Caliphate).
The following is the transcript of Abedi’s speech:
“Dear brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings. As a student of Islamic sciences I’d like to congratulate you for having this good protest and demonstration to show the solidarity to all the oppressed people in the planet, as we know that Islam is not only the religion of peace, but its is the promoter of the peace in this world, no matter what the Zionist media propaganda they say, but the reality is that Islam is the peace, promoting the peace and security. We’re real Muslims, that means that we’re peace seekers, peace promoters and peace lovers.
“But unfortunately, this peace is disturbed because of injustice. Justice is the soul of the values of humanity. If there is no justice that there cannot be the peace. Everyone should be fair with the other. Every even man in this earth should be just with the other, even with animals, even with tiny creatures. Everyone should be fair and just with others.
“But unfortunately, some opportunists, some worshippers of the desires and passions, those who are looking for the power to the illegal ways, they disturb the peace through doing injustice to others. All oppressors are condemned by the Creator, the Lord of universe, and we are here to show that we are the creators [sic] of Allah and should also do the same to condemn the oppressors in the world as Quran says:
وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ
“Do not incline toward oppressors, lest the Fire should touch you, and you will not have any friend besides Allah; then you will not be helped. [Hud, 113]
“So we are here to fulfill this command of Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, and also we are the followers of our beloved divine Imam, Imam Ali, peace and blessing be upon him. He used to advise us in several locations that
وكونوا للظالم خصماً ، وللمظلوم عوناً
“Be always with the oppressed people. Support them. Assist them. Try to help them. But do notassist with the oppressors.
“Here unfortunately the world is full of oppression, full of injustice. Why? Because some are supporting an illegal state, called Israel.
“And now after all these media’s propaganda, many people, all those people who are free, they believe that Zionism is the mother of terrorism.
“Zionism is the mother of extremism.
“Zionism is the mother of oppression across the world.
“Zionism is the mother of the family of House of Saud [rulers of Saudi Arabia].
“Zionism is the father of the House of Saud [rulers of Saudi Arabia].
“Zionism is the mother of ISIS. Don’t say Islamic State. Say Israeli State in in Iraq and Levant (الشأم).
“So we should all be united all kinds of injustice in this world in order to at least demonstrate that we are alive, because life is not just eating and drinking and sleeping. Life has some signs. The biggest sign is to stand firmly against oppressors and the oppression. We should not be unjust with anyone, and should not [inaudible] our support by keeping ourselves silent.
“Unfortunately, in this world many people support quietly by being silent against this oppression. They don’t speak up. We re here to show that we are alive and we do speak up against terrorism, against oppression and against Zionism, which is the main source of all problems.”

Namibia’s male circumcision initiative to prevent HIV faces headwind
WINDHOEK (Xinhua) — Circumcised and ready for action?
These four words that are part of a radio advertisement currently gracing the airwaves have aroused mixed feelings among Namibians.
The advertisement is being run by the health ministry as part of a campaign to educate and encourage men to opt for voluntary medical male circumcision.
Namibia aims to circumcise 330, 000 men by 2025 but since the program was officially launched in 2014, just above 30, 000 have taken up the offer.
Most Namibian men, like Windhoek security guards Simeon Hafeni and Gottlieb Kalandu, are refusing to let go of their foreskins.
Hafeni, who is from the northern regions of the country where circumcision is not compulsory under tribal beliefs, says he does not see any reason for him to be cut.
“What if I get the cut now, and then tomorrow another disease that needs the foreskin comes by?” he asks.
His workmate, Kalandu quips: “God was not a fool to create men with a foreskin.”
[These are not the best reasons to stay intact. The best reasons are that the foreskin is valuable, and that the protection offered, even if true, is insufficient to substitute cutting for the vastly more protective condoms.]
These two could symbolize the difficulty the health ministry’s campaign faces even after rolling out the program as far back as 2009 when the World Health Organization and the United Nations AIDS Organization (UNAIDS) recommended circumcision as one of an HIV preventative measure.
Namibia went on to train more than 260 health care workers to provide deal with circumcision, while 33 district hospitals were made available for the program.
A national strategic plan for 2010/11-2015/16 drawn up and revised in 2013 lists six core program to prevent and control the spread of HIV in the country including circumcision.
The strategic plan states that there is need to reach out to HIV negative adult men and initiate services for adolescents.
Although health ministry spokesperson Ester Paulus said that circumcision is a “low-cost medical intervention”, the strategic plan shows that more than 200 million Namibian dollars (13 million U.S. dollars) was set aside for the first three years.
“Male circumcision is a one-time, low cost medical intervention, which has been recommended by the WHO as part of a comprehensive package of HIV prevention.”
The country also carried out a pilot project in Aug. 2009 in capital Windhoek and at Oshakati, in the north of the country about 700 kilometers from Windhoek.
Realizing that fewer men were volunteering, the health ministry has been on an aggressive campaign. Apart from the advertisements, the health minister, Bernard Haufiku, has also been vocal about the need for men to get the cut.
When the advertisements were launched in May, Haufiku said in high HIV prevalence countries like Namibia, circumcision will at least prevent one in five infections as it reduces the risk of contracting HIV by 60 percent. [This is a dangerously false way of applying this already-misleading statistic.]
Hafeni and Kalandu say they have heard the advertisements, which they think are humorous.
“But radio is radio. I don’t believe everything I hear on radio,” Kalandu says.
There’s no disputing that Heather Koon videotaped herself raping four children in an Elyria, Ohio, day care before sending the footage to her boyfriend, a convicted sex offender.
The 27-year-old Koon pleaded guilty last week to four counts of rape among other charges, her attorney, Dan Wightman, told The Washington Post.
What is up for debate, Wightman said, is whether Koon should be considered a violent sexual offender.
Earning that designation at a future hearing would give the former child caretaker a mandatory life sentence without parole, he said.
“It’s very unusual to have a female charged as a sexual predator — almost unheard of,” Wightman said. “Psychologists tend to think she’s more along the lines of a battered woman. She was being influenced by her boyfriend.”
