A groups of Canadian Eco-Fascists want to file criminal charges against “climate deniers”

Ecojustice, on behalf of a group of prominent Canadians, filed a complaint Thursday with the federal Competition Bureau, asking it to investigate false and misleading representations made by climate change denier groups.

In their application to the Commissioner of Competition, the group called for “a thorough, rigorous inquiry of the denier groups and their climate science misrepresentations.”

The group is also pressing for the commission to refer their application to the Attorney-General of Canada for criminal charges against the denier groups.

Ecojustice filed the complaint of behalf of Stephen Lewis, the former Canadian Ambassador to the UN and chair of the 1988 World Conference on the Changing Atmosphere; Tzeporah Berman, author and adjunct professor at York University; and Thomas Duck, an atmospheric scientist at Dalhousie University in Halifax.

Other complainants are David Schindler, the Killam Memorial professor of ecology at the University of Alberta; and Danny Harvey, an University of Toronto professor and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change lead author.

The complaint cites The Friends of Science, The International Climate Science Coalition, and the Heartland Institute for misleading billboard advertisements, website representations and a poster made available as a free download on a website.

Swaziland: HIV infection higher among circumcised men – Survey

by APA

A study has shown that circumcised men have a higher HIV infection rate than uncircumcised men since 2007 when the Government of Swaziland introduced a policy on male circumcision, APA reports.

The study availed to APA Sunday morning [and available on this site since 2009]  states that out of the 305 circumcised men who were interviewed 21.8 percent were HIV positive compared to the 19.5 percent of uncircumcised men who were also interviewed and tested.

AIDS activist Vusi Matsebula told local media that most circumcised men are infected with HIV because of their behavior as they fail to use protection after undergoing the procedure because they believe circumcision is a preventive measure.

An official of Population Services International (PSI), Mandla Matsebula said; “The survey was conducted before the circumcision campaign was intensified. If they could conduct another survey now the results would be totally different.”  [Why should a more “intense” campaign have any different outcome? This is grasping at straws.]

Male circumcision, which is offered for free in Swaziland’s public hospitals, was introduced as a measure to minimize chances of infection by about 60 percent. [And still they chant their theoretical “60%” mantra, in  the face of real-world data that shows an increase in infection – using their own arithmetic – of  11.8%]

During school holidays the campaign gains momentum as male pupils are often the main targets for the free procedure funded by the government.

A Toronto Architect is a Major Player in the Syrian Civil War

Despite denials from organizations such as CAIR CAN etc, more Canadian citizens are emerging as major figures in the Muslim Brotherhood here in Canada and around the world.

The latest figure in the news is Hassan Hachimi, formerly of Sweetwater Crescent in Toronto. Mr. Hachimi was a Toronto based architect, having lived in Canada since 1996.

Now, he is playing a major role on the world scene as head of the political bureaus of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood. On 12 June 2014, he was quoted as saying that he “ruled out near future prospects of talks with Iran regarding the Syrian civil war, calling the Iranians untrustworthy.”

Perhaps more interesting that he is also identified as being “the coalition’s director of political affairs in North America.” The coalition referred to is the Syrian National Coalition. It is not clear from the article what role the Syrian National Coalition plays in North America nor are Mr. Hachimis’ responsibilities in North America defined.

While he was living in Toronto, Mr Hachimi played an active role in Muslim Brotherhood related organizations. He was on the board of directors of the Muslim World League of Canada along with the well known Dr. Wael Haddara (adviser to Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi). In the past, he was also on the board of directors of the Muslim Association of Canada along with other Muslim Brotherhood luminaries such as Dr. Yasser Haddara, Mourad Mhiri, and Dr. Jamal Badawi,

You can see the entire interview with Mr. Hachimi at: http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2014/06/syria-muslim-brotherhood-isis-iran-mosul-iraq.html##ixzz3509BX3f7

Sharia Law Supporter Omar Alghabra is the new Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs

Omar Alghabra (MP Mississauga Centre), a Sharia Law Supporter, is the new Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

On 02 December 2015, Prime Minister Trudeau appointed a series of Members of Parliament to be Parliamentary Secretaries. In the Canadian parliamentary system, this person is officially designated to assist their minister with minister with his or her duties.

NOTE: The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in 1928 in Egypt has been listed as a terrorist group in a variety of countries including Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The Jamaat-e-Islami has been banned or proscribed in some 25 countries. In January of 2015, the Muslim Brotherhood announced that they would return to a path of violence and that is members should “seek martyrdom.”

In April 2014, Tahir Gora published a paper that suggested that the Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaat-e-Islami would attempt to run multiple candidates in the 2015 federal election using the Liberal Party of Canada as its political entry point.[1] This is the well-worn path of “political entryism.”

The question must arise as to whether any candidates in represent extremist views brought into Canada by the Muslim Brotherhood, its proxies or its front groups. With some 700(+) dues paying Muslim Brotherhood members in Canada[2], the question is increasingly relevant.

According to the article of 2014 written by Mr. Gora:

“The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the National Council of Canadian-Muslims — formerly the Canadian affiliate of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — and others are full of members linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, its Jamaat-e-Islami sister group and their ideology.”

Mr. Gora said he had a conversation with a staunch member of the Jamaat-e-Islami. He reports the conversation in the following manner:

We want Muslims’ representation in our parliament so that our members can watch our interests in the government.” By “Muslims,” he meant Jamaat-e-Islami and Muslim Brotherhood followers.

Testimony in the Senate of Canada in 2015 by Lorenzo Vidino stated that the Muslim Brotherhood has multiple front groups in Canada of which the four best known are the NCCM/CAIR CAN, the Muslin Association of Canada, Islamic Relief Canada and the now defunct IRFAN (listed as a terrorist entity).[3]

Omar Alghabra

Omar Alghabra (Mississauga-Centre) was born in 1969 in Khobar Saudi Arabia to Syrian parents and came to Canada alone at the age of 19. He was previously a Member of Parliament from 2006 to 2008 and represented Mississauga-Erindale before the boundaries were redrawn.

In 2002, Mr Alghabra stated that he did not believe that HAMAS (Muslim Brotherhood proxy group) or Islamic Jihad were terrorist groups.[4]

Mr Alghabra has openly stated that he favors Sharia Law for Ontario and that he was disappointed when he did not happen in Ontario after the 2003/2006 debate in Ontario.[5]

Upon being nominated for the 2006 election, Mr Alghabra thanked the ISNA for their support.[6] This raises the question about what kind of support a federal charity is giving to a political campaign.

Omar Alghabra was also speaker at the 2007 ISNA 33rd Annual conference which was held in conjunction with the Muslim Student Association (founded by the Muslim Brotherhood) and Muslim Youth of North America conferences. That conference was headlined by Tariq Ramadan, grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The ISNA was in the news in 2013 when the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) took away their charity status for one of their fund raising bodies (Development Fund) when it was discovered that they were funding a terrorist group: the Jamaat-e-Islami. As noted above, Jammat-e-Islami is the ideological sister of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The ISNA also made the news in 2008 when they tried to invite the head of Jamaat-e-Islami (Qazi Hussein Ahmad) to speak at an ISNA conference in Canada in 2008.[7] Mr. Ahmad has been previously banned some 25 countries, yet the ISNA sought to have him in Canada.[8] His visa to Canada was pulled at the last minute. Mr. Ahmad had spoken at a previous ISNA conference in St Louis in 1998. The ISNA-Canada conference was run jointly with the Muslim Students Association and Muslim Youth of North America, and endorsed by the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Circle of North America, and the Muslim Association of Canada. All of these organization have been publicly identified repeatedly as Muslim Brotherhood front groups.

When Liberal leader Justin Trudeau spoke at the ISNA in 2013, he noted the following:

In particular, I would like to thank the organizers of this event: Yasmin Ratansi, our Liberal candidate for Don Valley East; Omar Alghabra, who will represent the Liberal Party in Mississauga Centre; and Salma Zahid, the Liberal candidate for Scarborough Centre.

Many of the meetings for the campaigns of Omar Alghabra were held at the ISNA. It is not clear if they ISNA charged for this or of the space was provided with no charge. With the ISNA still having charitable status for some of its functions, questions should be raised about a federally registered charity providing free and/or rented meeting space for a political party campaign.

Of note, the ISNA was involved in a series of scandals whereby charity money for the poor was squandered on other projects.[9] As well, the ISNA High School received Saudi money, despite several initial denials from the ISNA[10] and the ISNA High School Principal was a guest speaker at the annual conference of Hizb-ut-Tahrir[11], perhaps the fastest growing extremist group in Canada.  The ISNA high school also made the news when its soccer team refused to play another high school team that had girls on it.[12]

According to the Al Jezeera News Service, Omar Alghabra is a “long-time personal friend” to Prime Minister Trudeau. Additionally, Mr Alghabra is stated to have been able to “recruit more than 12,000 volunteers across the country to work for Trudeau’s campaign.”[13]

All of this information collectively raises the question as to whether Canada will be well served by this new Parliamentary Secretary.

[2] Tharwat Kherbawi is a former leadership figure of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. He has three books on the Muslim Brotherhood, which are “From the Heart of the Muslim Brotherhood” and “The Mystery of the Temple” and the “Imams of Evil.” He has hundreds of articles and press and television appearances on this subject. In early 2015, he was interviewed about the Muslim Brotherhood in Canada.

In this interview, he notes that there are some 700 dues paying members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Canada. He regards this figure as low, because many Muslim Brotherhood members have left Egypt following the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood’s President Morsi in 2013.

Thornhill Woods residents protest against the “ segregated nature” of Jaffari development plan

By Preserve Thornhill Woods Association (Ontario)

It has been just over two years since the original Jaffari development application was submitted to the City of Vaughan Planning Department in October 2013. Yet another revised application was submitted to the City last month and PTWA would like to share the highlights of this new proposal with the community.

Let us start by making a very important point. Despite two years of constant denial to the city, the public and the press, the new application clearly states that this development is being built for the exclusive use of the Jaffari congregation. Here is a direct quote from the newly submitted Justification Planning Report:

“The proposed development is considered a cultural campus because it is envisioned to meet the unique needs and serve the members of the Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Toronto.”

The term “cultural campus” is loosely defined as a development typology that is purposely built to meet the needs of a specific cultural group.” The report goes on to justify this “exclusive” development by comparing it to the Lebovic Jewish Community Campus and the Ahmadiyya Village at Jane and Teston Road (which is described in their Justification Report as: “Canada’s first Islamic Subdivision”).

The revised application contains no statements indicating that the general public will be allowed access to the housing, facilities or to any of the infrastructure within the newly proposed development. It seems evident from the applicant’s submissions that they clearly want to build an exclusive community within the existing community of Thornhill Woods. This is the exact same verbiage that appeared in the original Justification Planning Report from their initial submission in 2013. Here is a comparison between the original application from December 2013 and the revised proposal:

October 2013 Proposal:

  • 61 Town Homes
  • 17 Story Seniors Residence: 172 Units
  • 17 Story Condominium: 205 Units
  • Total Gross Floor Area (GFA): 45,621 sq. Metres
  • New Parking Spaces: 453

November 2015 Proposal:

  • 60 Town Homes
  • 6 Story Seniors Residence: 153 Units
  • 8 Story Condominium: 134 Units
  • Total Gross Floor Area (GFA): 43,726 sq. Metres
  • New Parking Spaces: 428

In many ways, the new application is almost identical to the original 2013 application. The only significant change is that the two high rise buildings have been replaced with shorter, wider buildings with the same floor space. We were also alarmed to discover that the total number of new parking spaces within the revised application has actually been REDUCED. There are currently only 547 parking spaces to support the 2,000+ congregation members and many of you have commented to us about the traffic and parking issues that arise at the Jaffari facility during special events.

As a result of our communities constant pressure on the applicant and City there are but a few minor revisions contained in the new application that we have we pushing for. The Heritage building will be preserved but it will be moved to a different location within the proper and a nature path is being proposed along the conservation lands in the north east quadrant of their property.

We are pleased with these proposed changes but still very disappointed with the density and segregated nature of the development. We are also disappointed that the natural forest behind the homes on Ner Israel Drive will be removed. We encourage the applicant to finally and publicly clarify their position on these issues and we always open to meeting with the applicant to discuss our concerns and to work through the issues together.

PTWA will hold a community wide meeting in January to review the new application, discuss next steps in the process and to answer your questions. We are also expecting the City of Vaughan to hold a Public Hearing on the new application in early February. This will be your opportunity to provide input to City Council and the City’s Planning Department. We urge you to get involved and make your voices heard. Once the date is finalized we will share it and encourage you and all our neighbors to attend this crucial meeting. Let’s try and get one representative from every house in the area to attend this important City meeting. We want the City and applicant to hear our concerns loud and clear.

Stay tuned for more information on these two important events early in the new year.

Please feel free to post your comments or questions below. We welcome your input and need your help to ensure the City and the applicant hear our concerns about the latest proposal.

The Government of Iran continues to move money into Canada through their Khomeinist proxies in search of greater influence. This influence is felt through a list of three charities run by the Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat, otherwise known as the Thornhill Mosque. This is just one of their proxies. Some of the money is laundered through charity fraud, using CRA tax receipts. The Imam and Alim (religious scholar) of the mosque, Sayyid Rizvi, advocates in his publications that sex with nine year old girls is permissible in the context of a temporary marriage.

Another Muslim attack in Toronto goes unreported by the Canadian media

A Canadian peace activist and a known social media figure Ahmed Shahwan was attacked twice in Toronto last week, reports JerusalemOnline.

In her article, Rachel Avraham reports that last week, Shahwan, a Torontonian of a Jordanian-Palestinian descent, uploaded two videos of the attacks on his YouTube Channels. The first showing two men with a Jordanian accent chasing him in Toronto, with one of the men physically pushing him and explicitly insulting him verbally.

The other video shows a man attacking him in downtown Toronto, actually hitting Shahwan in the face before chasing him down, pledging to kill him and rape his female relatives. The man was, reportedly, speaking in a thick Southern Bedouin Jordanian accent.

Ahmed Shahwan is a popular Jordanian-Canadian musician based in Toronto and a firm opponent of King Abdullah. On October 8 and 10, 2015 he posted two videos on his Facebook page, which went viral and in a span of less than 24 hours were viewed over 40,000 times.

In the October 8 video, Ahmed shamed the Canadian Jewish advocacy organization CIJA for meeting with King Abdullah and said: “Do you realize that this man (King Abdullah) supports the Muslim Brotherhood openly? Do you realize that Jews protested officially in the last two months that the Jordanian press supports killing Jewish people? Do you realize that this man tell his own people to hate Israel and Jews? Do you realize that the Palestinians don’t have a country because this man rules their country? Do you realize that Kind Abdullah obviously tells his own people to hate Israel and Jewish People? Then why do you deal with this man? Do you realize that King Abdullah is an enemy of the Jewish people and Israel?…”

In the October 10, 2015 video, which was filmed in downtown Toronto, Ahmed sent an open message to Palestinians by pleading with them to stop murdering Jews and called for peace with Israel.

According to Rachel Avraham, the attacks came after a month-long wave of threats Shahwan has been receiving publicly, with more than a dozen of Jordan’s king loyalists making videos in which they openly pledge to kill him for “insulting His Majesty the king” and “speaking out against the Palestinian Intifada.

In recent months, the number of attacks on those people who choose to publicly express and demonstrate their religious or political affiliations grew in Toronto. Another man was attacked in last September by three Muslim men outside the Sports Lounge Bar at Kennedy Road and St. Clair for wearing “Infidel” patch on his jacket.

Talking to CIJnews a month later, the victim was convinced that it was a premeditated targeted attack, as he never saw these three men, they were not patrons of the bar and their motive was directly connected to his “Infidel” patch which was deemed by them as offensive.

Both of these attacks were not reported by any Canadian media outlets and went largely unnoticed. However, incidents of “hate” crimes against the Muslim Community in Canada always receive wide exposure and even attention from the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Most recently, Trudeau condemned the arson at Kawartha Muslim Religious Association’s a-Salaam mosque in Peterborough on November 14, 2015 and stated: “To the families who attend the mosque for prayer every week, the Government of Canada and our law enforcement agencies will protect your rights and make every effort to apprehend any perpetrator. I hope your mosque will be open for prayer again very soon.”
